ObjectiveThe purpose of the research is to identify the correlation between IL-17 expression and clinical pathological feature, microvessel density and VEGF,so that we can lay the foundation for finding new anti-angiogenesis target for prostate cancer treatment.Methods1.We research the relationship between clinicopathological features and IL-17 expression to identify the clinical relevance of IL-17 expression.Immunohisto-chemistry was used to measure the expression of IL-17 on each 15 paraffin-embedded tissues with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues.One-way analysis of variance was used to analyze the correlation between IL-17 expression and clinicopathologic feature.2.To figure out the role of IL-17 in angiogenesis in patients with PC,we performed CD31 immunohistochemistry on 15 prostatic carcinoma tissue samples. The linear correl ation were used to analyze the correlation between IL-17 expression and microvessel density(MVD).3.Prostate cancer tissues were studied with immunohistochemical methods to research expression level VEGF,and the linear correlation were used to analyze the correlation between IL-17 expression and VEGF,so that we can explor the mechanism of IL-17’s promoting angiogenesis.Results1.There is no difference in quatity between the expression of interleukin-17 in prostate cancer, prostate hyperplasia tissue.(P>0.05);As well,no association was found between the expression of IL-17 and age, clinical staging and Gleason score(P>0.05).2.In 15 cases of prostate cancer samples,There was linear correlation between the expression level of IL-17 and MVD(r = 0.942,P= 0.013).3.In 15 cases of prostate cancer samples,There was linear correlation between the expression level of IL-17 and VEGF(r=0.384,P=0.021).Conclusions1.There is no difference between the expression level of IL-17 in prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer.Samely the study found no link between the expression level of IL-17 with age, tumor stage and Gleason score.2.IL-17 may promote tumor through the formation of the blood vessels in the cancer tissue.3.IL-17’s effect on promoting tumor generation may be related to VEGF.
