ObjectiveThe purpose of this analysis was to assess the variation of quality of life(QOL)in patients who received argon-helium cryoablation for advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and explored the main factors which affected the QOL,and offered reference to improve the QOL for patients.MethodThe 60 patients of advanced NSCLC were selected from the Shandong Province Qian fo Hill hospital between May 2014 and October 2015.The QOL was assessed by using the Chinese version of European Organization for Reseach Treatment of Cancer(EORTC)QL Q-C30 and QLC-LC13,which was evaluated in the preoperative,3 days postoperative, and the1,2,4month after survey respectively. All the data were analyzed by the SPSS 17.0 statis-tical software, frequencies, analysis of variance, rank sum test and multiple stepwise regre-ssion.It has the statistical significance difference if P< 0.05.Results1.Function and overall health subscaleThe results of the function and overall health subscale showed that the scores of the postoperative was the lowest, and the scores were basically recovered to the preoperative levels in 1 month after survey and continued to rise in the following 2,4 month. The physi-cal function scored the highest and the overall health subscale scored the lowest in the function and overall health subscale.Besides the cognitive function and the overall health subscale, there was statistically significant at different time scores by rank sum test.2.Symptoms of fieldThe scores of symptoms of the postoperative, which excepted nausea and vomiting, economic difficulties, were the highest in EORTC QLQ-C30.The scores continued to redu-ce gradually, and it declined obviously in 4 month after survey. The fatigue scored the highest and the diarrhea scored the lowest. The scores continued to reduce gradually in pain, shortness of breath and insomnia, and it continued to rise in nausea and vomiting,it was statistically significant by rank sum test. The symptoms of the postoperative in EOR-TC QLQ-LC3 scaled the highest excluding hair loss. The scores continued to reduce gra-dually,and it declined obviously in the 4 month after survey. The cough scored the highe-st.The scores continued to reduce gradually in shortness of breath, cough, chest pain,han-d or shoulder pain, and it continued to rise in hair loss,it was statistically signifycant by rank sum test.3.The influence factors of the QOLThe influence factors of the QOL included age, education level, household economy, health insurance mechanism, marital status, anxiety and aftertreatment, and it had very lit–tle to do with sex, job, stage and pathological by multiple stepwise regression.Conclusions1.The argon-helium cryoablation method for the patients of advanced NSCLC can reduce the QOL,but the influence is temporary and can resume after a period of time2.Many factors, which included age, household economy, health insurance mechani sm,marital status, anxiety and aftertreatment, can influence the QOL of the advanced NS-CLC patients by argon-helium cryoablation.3.In order to improve the QOL of patients, the Medical workers can take appropriat intervention measures for the advanced NSCLC patients according to the influence factor-s of different period QOL.
