Objectives:To analyze the correlation between MRF and HFA in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma(POAG)and normal group by exploring the results of different visual field tests on perimetry software Melbourne Rapid Fields(MRF)and Humphrey Field Analyzer(HFA).Methods:This study was a cross-sectional study.Sixty-nine eyes of POAG patients diagnosed in the ophthalmology clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were divided into early, middle and late groups. Each group was 26,20,23 eyes, and 24 eyes in the normal group. All participants underwent MRF and HVF visual field testing, and compared the two tests in time and global indices(MD,PD/PSD,VC/VFI).GraphPad Prism 5 and IBM SPSS 21.0 statistical software were used for data analysis. The paired t-test was used to analyze the mean and P values.P<0.05 was used as statistical significance. The correlation between MRF and HFA visual field was analyzed by linear regression.Bland-Altman analysis was used to evaluate the consistency of MRF and HFA visual field test results. The sensitivity and specificity of each parameter under the two methods were analyzed according to the ROC curve of the subjects. Results:The average time required for MRF in the glaucoma group was(314.91±51.94)s,for HFA,the time was(281.38±71.96)s.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average time required for MRF and HFA in the early glaucoma group was(276.15±50.50)s and(217.38±46.15)s(P<0.05).The average time required for MRF and HFA in the mid-term glaucoma group was(335.80±38.65)s and(292.75±71.96)s(P<0.05).There was a weak correlation between the MD results between the MRF and HFA in the normal group(r=0.4632,P<0.05).The correlations of MD,PD/PSD and VC/VFI in early glaucoma group were compared in the two tests. The correlation coefficients of the early group were r=0.6163,r=0.7238,r=0.7346,respectively.The correlation coefficients of the middle group was r=0.7725,r=0.8991,r=0.8469,respectively;the correlation coefficient of the late group was r=0.6282,r=0.6613,r=0.7629,respectively.The difference between the two methods was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the consistency comparison of MRF and HFA,for normal group, totally 4.2%of the MD,PD/PSD,VC/VFI values were outside the consistency limit. For early glaucoma,0%,3.8%,and 7.7%,were outside the consistency limit, respectively. In the moderate group the results were 5.0%,0%,and 0%,respectively.In the advanced group, the results were 4.3%,4.3%,and 4.3%,respectively.In the sensitivity and specificity detection of MRF,the AUC of the MD,PD/PSD,and VC/VFI value was 0.9233,0.9263,0.9339(P<0.0001),respectively.For HFA,the results were 0.8979,0.9493,0.9441,respectively.The AUC of the two tests were bigger than 0.8(P<0.0001).Conclusions:The MRF test time of POAG patients was longer than that of HFA test.In the early and moderate groups, the difference of MRF and HFA test time was statistically significant, but there was no significant difference in the late group.TheMD value of the normal group has a weak correlation between the two test methods of MRF and HFA.The normal group and the POAG group have good consistency in MD,PD/PSD and VC/VFI in MRF and HFA test methods.Except that the VFI values in the early group were inconsistent in the MRF and HFA test methods, the other normal groups and POAG groups had better consistency in MD,PD/PSD and VC/VFI in the MRF and HFA test methods. The PD/PSD value of the POAG late group has a good consistency in the test of the two methods.MRF has similar sensitivity and specificity to HFA,and MRF is more sensitive to detecting MD values. In both tests, the VC/NFI value test results were the closest in the AUC values of the two test methods,ie the sensitivity and specificity of the two test methods were almost identical. The satisfaction of the MRF overall test is better than the HFA test. There was a statistically significant difference between the satisfaction of MRF and HFA test methods in the normal group and the moderate patients in the POAG group.
