Dental caries is a multifactorial dynamic infectious disease dominated by bacteria, which can affect both deciduous teeth and permanent teeth.According to China's Fourth Oral Health Epidemiological Survey in 2015,the caries rate of deciduous teeth of5-year-old children in China reached 70.9%,an increase of 5.8% from a decade ago, showing a clear upward trend. It can be seen that the current prevalence of deciduous caries in children in China is severe, and the current status and risk factors of deciduous caries in children in Bengbu are rarely reported. This is of great significance to the prevention and treatment of children's caries in this area.Objectives(1)To understand the caries status of 5 years old children in Bengbu(2)To explore the impact factors of 5 years old children in Bengbu MethodsCalculate the sample size according to the prevalence rate, and refer to the inspection standards and methods of the "Fourth Oral Health Epidemiological Survey" of the National Health and Health Commission, and select 861 5-year-old children in Bengbu City for oral examination to understand the prevalence rate of caries, dmft index, filling rate, etc. The parents 'questionnaire survey was also conducted on their parents, including individual development information, social background, and oral health behavior habits.Data entry adopts double double entry, and SPSS 20.0 software is used for data analysis. The measurement data were statistically described by mean ±standard deviation, nonparametric tests were used to compare the differences in caries status of children of different genders, and the chi-square test was used to compare the two sample rates, including the prevalence rate and missing rate.Chi-square test was used to analyze the correlation between risk factors and whether children had caries, and statistically significant factors were included in Logistic regression analysis.P <0.05 was statistically significant.ResultsThe caries prevalence among the 861 cases of 5-year-old preschool children in Bengbu was 72.01%,with dmft and dmfs index of 3.36±3.56 and 7.07±9.22 in average. The caries prevalence was 67.73% for boys and 77.71% for girls. The dmft and dmfs index of boys was 3.33±3.53 and 6.49±9.31.The dmft and dmfs index of girls was4.00±3.47 and 7.75±9.07.The caries prevalence and dmft and dmfs index of girls was significantly higher than boys(P<0.001?P<0.001?P=0.003 respectively),Multivariate conditional Logistic regression showed that sexy(OR=1.532,95% CI:1.098-2.138,P=0.012),consumption of sweetened foods more than once a day(OR=2.879,95% CI :1.256-6.599,P=0.012),breastfeeding 6 to12 months(OR=1.884,95% CI :1.129-3.144,P=0.015),breastfeeding 12 to18 months(OR=1.748,95% CI :1.041-2.934,P=0.035),breastfeeding 18 to24 months(OR=3.342,95% CI :1.247-8.959,P=0.016),history of a previous visit to a dentist(OR=2.795,95% CI :1.799-4.344,P=0.0001)were risk factors for the occurrence of dental caries among 5years old children in Bengbu.Conclusions1.5-year-old children in Bengbu City,Anhui Province have a high dental caries rate and poor oral hygiene.2.The risk factors of caries among 5-year-old children in Bengbu City,Anhui Province include the frequency of eating sweets ? 1 time / day,and excessive breastfeeding time,of which the feeding time is 6-12 months,12-18 months,12-18 months The caries rate of children's deciduous teeth is divided into 1.884,1.748,and3.342 times without breastfeeding.
