| Objective: To identify the risk factors of childhood leukemia, which containenvironmental factors, children self factors, parental factors and pregnancy factors. The objective of our research is to decrease the occurrence of childhood leukemia. Methods: Use the pair-matched case-control study to research the risk factors ofleukemia. The questionnaire survey chooses the 174 patients, and 174 non-leukemiachildren matching by sex, age, and nation in Tianjin. We analyze the data byconditional logistic regression. Multivariate logistic regression modified by theprincipal component analysis and final main effect functions were built. Results: In environmental factors, environmental pollution, household decoration, decoration duration, decoration smellhas statistical significance. In children selffactors, birth weight, cold frequency, infection disease, X-ray exposure, character hasstatistical significance. In parental factors, parental education, chemical exposures(consist of time, category and degree) has statistical significance. In pregnancy factors, oral contraceptive agent, pregnancy complication, complaint and drugs during themother pregnancy has statistical significance. Environmental pollution, householddecoration, parental chemical exposures, parental education, cold frequency and drugsduring the mother pregnancy are founded by Mutivariate logistic regression modified. Conclusion: The potential risk factors of leukemia include environmental pollution, household decoration, parental chemical exposures, parental education, cold and drugs during the mother pregnancy. These factors may raise the occurrence of theleukemia. We should take some effective ways to control the expose of these riskfactors and may prevent the occurrence of the leukemia. |
