Backgrounds:Hullax vagus not only an ancient disease,but also a common modern disease.The inci-dence of hallux valgus is about 7% in conditions that cause foot pain and deformities,that disease has obvious gender characteristics,the incidence of hallux valgus deformities in females is much higher than in males,a conservative estimate of the incidence of women to men is about 8:1.When the hallux valgus deformity occurred,the biomechanical structure and appearance of the foot changed significantly,especially with the disease progresses and the age increases,so hallux valgus deformity is more common in women when after middle age.When hallux valgus deformity occurs,it not only affects the feet's motor function and quality of life of middle-aged and elderly women,but also seriously affects the external aesthetic experience of the feet.So far,there are more than 100 kinds of surgical methods about hallux valgus deformity,these surgical methods may partially or completely correct foot deformities and recovery,butsurgery can only dealwith hallux valgus deformities that have already shown obvious symptoms,limited helpful in terms of disease awareness and prevention.The research on the etiology of hallux valgus has been more than 100 years old,nowadays hallux valgus deformity is considered a multifactorial disease,the main causes include age,gender,genetics,flat feet,shoes,trauma,medial sequence stability,etc.Objectives:There is a clear correlation between the medial sequence of the foot and hallux valgus in the etiology of hallux valgus deformity,We find that the first sacroiliac joint is always tilted in the patient group of hallux valgus deformity,but few further studies have explored it.So we analysis of the difference between the first sacroiliac joint angle(FMCA)in middle-aged and elderly women with hallux valgus and the women who without hallux valgus according to a case-control study,and what factors may be associated with hallux valgus in middle-aged and elderly women with hallux valgus.We want to intervent the reason of hallux valgus deformity and providing guidance for surgery and postoperative hallux valgus.Medthods:We counted a total of 89 feets of women in middle and old age who were treated in the Department of Hand and Foot Surgery of the Second Affiliated Hospital of XXXX Medical University from June 2014 to October 2019 due to hallux valgus-related diseasesand a total of 45 eligible samples were included in this study.At the same as eligible non-thumbular valgus middle-aged and elderly women who came to see a doctor for other reasons were selected as the non-hallux valgus group(control group).The hallux valgus angle(HVA),the 1st and 2nd metatarsal angle(IMA),and the first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA)on the two sets of AP X-ray orthophotos were measured by the same measurement standard to statistically verify whether the first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA)is related to the hallux valgus group and the non-valgus group and among the hallux vagus group first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA)whether has connection with hallux vagus angle(HVA)or the 1st and 2nd metatarsal angles(IMA).At last we get the significance by analysis the statistical result.Rrsults:Hallux vagus angle group Age 58.6±9.4,HVA 37.8±11.0°,IMA 15.8±3.4°,FMCA36.1±5.4°.Control group Age 54.8±11,HVA 14.4±3.3°,IMA 9.6°(25% 8.2° 50% 9.2°75% 10.9°),FMCA 19.6±5.9°.Accroding to t test,p<0.05 means there is a difference between the two groups,and in the hallux vagus group use Pearson test to test FMCA both have connection with HVA and IMA,because the p <0.05.Conclusion:Based on the results of this study,it can be explained that within the statistically acceptable range,there can be differences in the first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA)between the normal middle-aged and elderly women and the hallux valgus,in middle-aged and elderly women with hallux valgus,the angle of the first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA)is related to the angle of the hallux valgus(HVA)and the1 st and 2nd metatarsal angles(IMA).Based on this theory,potential high-risk groups of hallux valgus can be found by measuring the angle of the first metatarsal cuneiform angle(FMCA).intervention in advance to avoid the occurrence of hallux valgus deformity or delay the time of serious deformity.In addition to discovering the role of high-risk groups,related interventions can also be performed in patients with forefoot-derived hallux valgus deformity where the first sacroiliac joint does not loosen to avoid recurrence.
