Subject:Observe the long-term effect of sugar foot decoction for the diabetes risk foot and assess the long-term efficacy related to symptom score and ABI, TBI improvement, so as to provide new methods and new ideas for Chinese medicine treatment of diabetes risk foot.Methods:66standards-compliant patients in Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was included. With randomized controlled study, we numbered the patients in order, and randomly assigned each patient a number, even in the treatment group and odd in the control group, with one case off in each group. The treatment group received drug and sugar foot decoction washes, while the control group was given the basic drugs warm water washes. After3courses, observed clinical symptom score and ABI, TBI indicators of the two groups, carried out within and between the two groups with1-year follow-up, and then observed clinical symptom score and ABI, TBI indicators, and group comparison between groups and carried out within and between the two groups again. Results:Total efficiency comparison:the total effective rate in treatment group was93.5%while that in the control group was only28.13%; after3courses treatment, comparison of total score of symptoms, vascular disease score, neuropathy score, and skin lesions integrals:before and after treatment, the treatment group had statistical significant (P<0.05) while the control group had no significant (P>0.05); after one-year followed-up, comparison of total score of symptoms, vascular disease score, neuropathy score, and skin lesions integrals:before and after treatment, the treatment group had statistical significant (P<0.05) while the control group had no significant (P>0.05);comparison of ABI and TBI:before and after treatment, the treatment group had statistical significant (P<0.05) while the control group had no significant (P>0.05). Conclusion:(1)Judging from the recent efficacy, skin lesions, neuropathy and vascular lesions obviously improved in treatment group while not significant in control group. Skin lesions, neuropathy and vascular disease symptom in treatment group improved better than in control group.(2)Judging from the long-term efficacy, the risk of diabetes, foot skin lesions, neuropathy and vascular disease were greatly improved in treatment group with total effective rate of93.5%. There was only mild improvement skin and vascular lesions in control group with total effective rate of28.13%. The overall efficacy in treatment group was better than that in control group.(3)Judging From objective indicators, ABI and TBI improvement of the left and right foot were more significantly in treatment group than that in control group.
