Objective:To observe the clinical effect and evaluate the safety of the Dumen Dao therapy of Yao medicine combined with ordinary acupuncture therapy in the treatment of low back pain caused by deficiency of pathogenic surplus, which provide clinical basis for the treatment of low back pain with this therapy.Methods:60 patients with low back pain caused by deficiency of pathogenic surplus who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.Patients of treatment group were treated with Dumen Dao therapy of Yao medicine combined with ordinary acupuncture therapy, while the patients of control group were treated with ordinary acupuncture therapy. The two groups of patients were treated with the same points, treated once a day, rested for 2 days after 5 days of continuous treatment for 1 cycle, and treated for 4 consecutive cycles for 1 course of treatment, with a total of 1 courses of treatment. The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)pain score and the Oswestry Disability Index score(ODI)and Japanese Orthopaedics Association evaluation treatment score(JOA)of the two group of patients were compared before and after treatment. And compared the overall efficacy of the two groups of patients after treatment, using SPSS18.0 statistical software for statistical analysis.Results:1.Comparison of the VAS score : In the group comparison, the VAS scores of the two groups of patients after treatment were lower than before treatment, and the score was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement of pain symptoms after treatment in both groups was better than before treatment. After treatment, the VAS score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of ODI dysfunction index:After 1 courses of treatment, the ODI scores of the treatment group and the control group were lower than those before treatment, and the scores were significantly different(P<0.05).After treatment, the lumbar dysfunction, such as pain in the waist and leg and inconvenient walking movement, were improved compared with that before treatment, and the quality of life of the patients was improved. In comparison between the two groups, the score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the scores were significantly different(P<0.05).3.Comparison of the JOA Score:After 2 courses of treatment, the JOA scores of the treatment group and the control group were higher than those before treatment, and the scores were significantly different(P<0.05),The lumbar vertebrae function, clinical symptoms and pathological signs of patients with low back pain after treatment in both groups were improved.Compared between the tow groups, the JOA scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of overall curative effects between the two groups:A total effective rate of 90.00% in the treatment group and 73.33% in the control group was significant(P<0.05).The treatment group is more effective in patients with low back pain. There was no adverse reaction and case shedding in both groups. Conclusion(s): 1.Analysis of VAS score comparison results, indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the lumbar pain of the patients, and the treatment group analgesia effect is better.2.Analysis of ODI dysfunction index comparison results,it shows that the treatment group is better than the control group for the improvement of waist dysfunction such as pain in the waist and leg and inconvenient walking.3.Analysis of JOA score comparison results,It shows that the treatment group is better than the control group for the improvement of waist dysfunction such as pain in the waist and leg and inconvenient walking.4.Analysis of the comparison results of the total curative effect between the two groups, the curative effect of Dumen Dao therapy of Yao medicine and combined with ordinary acupuncture group in treating low back pain caused by deficiency of pathogenic surplus is better than that of ordinary acupuncture group. It has good recovery effect on patients with pain of waist and leg, lumbar dysfunction and pathological signs, and there is no trauma and adverse reactions in the treatment, suitable for clinical use.
