All of them met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria. By using the method of random dividing the patients into long-round needle group and sham acupuncture group. Patients in two groups were treated once a week, totally for 3 weeks. The therapeutic effect was evaluated before and after treatment, also the 3 month long-term outcomes. Compare the change of visual analogue scale and oswestry disability index in two groups before,3 weeks and 3 months after treatment.Result:1, The primary outcomes:Comparison of the two groups’pain VAS assessment before treatment and after, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The VAS assessment showed no significant difference after treatment and follow-up in long-round needle(P>0.05), while the control group had significant difference(P<0.05). The VAS score had a significant difference before and after treatment between the two groups (P<0.01) and no significant difference after treatment and follow-up (P>0.05).2、The secondary outcomes:After treatment, the ODI score was reduced evidently in both groups, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The comparison between the two groups also showed significant difference(P<0.05). The difference in long-round needle group after treatment and follow-up showed no significant difference(P>0.05), while the control group had significant difference(P<0.05). The comparison between the two groups showed significant difference(P<0.05). ODI individual scores in two groups before treatment and after treatment had a significant difference(P<0.05). Except for the pain, the difference between two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05). The difference of ODI individual scores in long-round needle after treatment and follow-up had no statistically significant(P>0.05). In control group, the difference was statistically significant except the self-care ability, sit, social activities and travel (P<0.05). The comparison between the two groups showed significant difference in carries, stand and sleep(P<0.05), the rest had no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:The long-round needle therapy had a good clinical effect and aftereffect. It can not only improve the low back pain symptoms, but also the lumbar segment motion. At the same time, The long-round needle therapy had less frequent basis and side effect, deserves to generalize on clinic.
