Objective: To understand the current characteristics and status of MSM behavior in Changsha City and provide a theoretical basis for behavioral intervention.Methods: During 2018.7.1—2019.03.01,in our hospital HIV clinic and AIDS voluntary counseling and testing point(VCT),two volunteer organizations have recruited qualified respondents by snowball sampling,trained investigators have conducted face-to-face surveys and interview after unifing by verbal informed consent.Result: 1.A total of 322 valid questionnaires were collected,including225 HIV-positive MSM questionnaires and 97 HIV-negative MSM questionnaires.The mean ages of HIV-positive and HIV-negative MSM were(28.48±6.66;25.42±7.02)respectively(p<0.001).The cognitive scores of the high subjects and lived in Changsha for more were higher(p<0.05);The proportion of non-voluntary first relationship was 10.2% and 2.1%(p<0.05),and the proportion of self-reported sexually transmitted infections was 28.4% and 11.3%(p<0.001),respectively.The proportions that obtain medical services difficultly due to MSM status were 54.7%and 28.9%,respectively(p<0.001).Before the HIV infection was diagnosed,the proportions of never,only after high-risk behavior,and regular HIV testing were(47.6%,32.9%,19.5%;20.6%,34%,45.4%)(p <0.001),respectively.2.A total of 27 interviews were completed,85.2% of interviewees aware of their sexual orientation before they are 18 years old,and almost all of them choose to hide their sexual orientation and infection status for fear of discrimination and disapproval from theirfamilies;48.2 % of respondents shown their sexual orientation was influenced by family factors;48.1% of the respondents said their first sexual encounter occurred at the age of 18 and under.among 55.6% of them had condomless sexual behaviour for the first time;All interviewees revealed that there are no sex education in their families before the age of 18;Among these respondents,33.3% have no sex education before the age of 18 as well as 63.0% only conducted superficial physiological and health classes in their schools;92.6% of the respondents said they could not adhere on wearing condoms for sexual behaviour;some of them would have unprotected sexual behaviour with a female while engaging in homosexual sex;Many people have evident fluke psychology that result in the proportion of persevere in regular HIV testing is low;Regarding the current AIDS publicity,the majority of respondents indicated that the AIDS education is still insufficient in terms of content and frequency.Conclusion:1.In the MSM in Changsha City,The overall level of HIV awareness is high,The higher the cultural level and the longer the living time in Changsha,the higher the level of cognition;the awareness of sexual orientation and the first sexual behavior of MSM are earlier,A high proportion of first-time sexual behavior without condom;lack of sex education in schools and families,it is suggested that the age threshold of AIDS education should be moved forward to junior and senior high schools.2.older age,first non-voluntary sexual behaviour,combined with sexually transmitted diseases,difficulty in obtaining medical services due to MSM status,and low number of HIV testing are HIV-related factors.
