Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of musculoskeletal ultrasound measurement of acromion-greater tuberosity distance in evaluating the efficacy of kinesiology tape on patients with subluxation of shoulder joint after hemiplegia. Methods: Eighty post-stroke with subluxation of the shoulder joint patients were selectd into the study, which was diagnosed by physical examination, clinical palpation and conventional shoulder joint radiographs. They were randomly divided into two groups: The experimental group ie the kinesio tape(KT)treatment group(n=40)was treated with kinesiology tape combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy for 8 weeks. The control group ie the conventional treatment group(n=40)was treated with only routine rehabilitation therapy for 8 weeks. Before and after treatment, the patient's pain level was scored using the visual analogue scale(VAS),meanwhile, ultrasound measurement was performed on the bilateral shoulder joint of the patient, which measured the shortest distance from the lateral edge of the shoulder to the upper edge of the greater tuberosity,ie the acromion-greater tuberosity distance(AGT).All examinations were performed by two sonographers trained in professional musculoskeletal ultrasound.Repeat the measurement once every 5 minutes.Statistical analysis of the data was performed using SPSS20.0 statistical software to prove that the obtained variable values were in accordance with the normal distribution. The two groups of treatment methods used the independent sample t test before and after treatment, and the AGT values of the affected side before and after treatment were paired sample t test. After the test, the independent sample t test was performed on the affected side AGT values. Results:Before treatment and after 8 weeks of treatment, the AGT values of the affected side in the kinesio tape group were 26.672±4.014 mm and 23.432±3.332 mm,respectively. The AGT values of the healthy side were 20.295±2.627 mm and 20.145±2.769 mm,respectively. In the conventional treatment group, the AGT values of the affected side were 26.769±4.105 mm and 24.956±3.452 mm,respectively, and the AGT values of the healthy side were 20.598±2.781 mm and 20.479±2.663 mm,respectively.(1)There were significant differences between the two groups in AGT values between the affected and healthy sides before treatment(P<0.001);(2)In the two groups, there were significant differences in the AGT values between the affected side before and after treatment(P<0.05);(3)There were significant differences in VAS scores between the two groups in the affected side before and after treatment(P<0.001);(4)After treatment, the AGT of the two groups was worth comparing, and there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);(5)After treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in the VAS scores between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusions:(1)Ultrasound measurement of AGT can effectively assess the presence of shoulder subluxation in patients with hemiplegia after stroke;(2)Ultrasound measurement AGT can effectively evaluate the therapeutic effect of kinesio tape on patients with subluxation of shoulder after hemiplegia;(3)Kinesiolgy tape can reduce the pain level of patients with subluxation of shoulder joint after hemiplegia, and can also combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy in the rehabilitation of shoulder subluxation after hemiplegia.
