On-line Behavior,Personality And Its Relative Factors Study Of College Students With Internet Addiction Disorder

Objective: 1. To investigate on-line behavior of college student with Internet Addiction Disorder. 2. To investigate the personality and mental health of college student with Internet Addiction Disorder. 3. To investigate relative factors of college student with Internet Addiction Disorder. Method: 510 college student from three university in Shanxi province were assessed with SCL-90,EPQ,Internet Addiction Disorder test and self-made investigate questionnaire of on-line college students. Results: 1. 6.24% subjects can be defined as IAD according to Internet Addiction Disorder test. There were significant difference between two group in major ,sex,every week on-line time,every month on-line cost,on-line site,if on-line behavior have bad effect and if his parents know what he has done on-line. There was no obvious difference between two group in the year of on-line behavior and the aim of on-line behavior. 2. IAD group have a higher score in EPQ-P,EPQ-N,obsessive-compulsive,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility and psychoticism. 3. By the Logistic regression analysis, the affective factors of Internet Addiction Disorder were as following: sex,every week on-line time,the aim of on-line behavior,if on-line behavior have dad effect,if his parents know what he has done on-line,EPQ-P,EPQ-E,EPQ-N,obsessive-compulsive,depression,paranoid ideation and hostility. Sex and paranoid ideation were protective factors.Conclusion: 1. Some college students can be defined as IAD in Shanxi province. IAD group and non IAD group have great difference in on-line behavior. We should do something to prevent IAD. 2. College Students with Internet Addiction Disorder have bad personality. 3. The affective factors of Internet Addiction Disorder were sex,on-line time and bad personality.
