Objective:To observe the effect of the method of root-tip points association acupuncture on the sensory function, daily live ability, anxiety and depression of patients with hemidysesthesia after stroke and to evaluate its clinical efficacy,so as to provide clinical basis for the treatment of hemidysesthesia after stroke by root-tip points association acupuncture.Methods:60 cases with hemidysesthesia after stroke were randomly divided into the root-tip points association acupuncture group and routine acupuncture group, with 30 cases in each group.Patients in both groups were given basic treatment, the root-tip points association acupuncture group was treated with the method of root-tip points association acupuncture, and the routine acupuncture group was treated with routine acupuncture, once a day, continuous acupuncture for 6 days, interval of 1 days, four weeks for a course of treatment,a total course of treatment.Fugl-meyer sensory function score, modified Barthel index scale(MBI)and hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS)were used to evaluate the score of sensory function daily, live activity ability and anxiety and depression mood of the two groups of patients beforeand after treatment, and the clinical efficacy of the patients was observed and evaluated.Results:(1)Comparison of Fugl-meyer sensory function scores between the two groups: there was no significant difference in Fugl-meyer sensory function scores between the two groups before treatment(all P>0.05),suggesting comparability. After treatment the Fugl-meyer sensory function of both groups increased compared that of before treatment(P<0.05),and the Fugl-meyer sensory function score of the root-tip points association acupuncture group was higher than that of the routine acupuncture group(P<0.05).(2)Comparison of MBI scores between the two groups: there was no significant difference in both Fugl-meyer sensory function and MBI scores between the two groups before treatment(all P >0.05),suggesting comparability. After treatment the MBI scores of both groups increased compared that of before treatment(P<0.05),and the MBI score of the root-tip points association acupuncture group was higher than that of the routine acupuncture group(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of HADS scores between the two groups:there was no significant difference in HADS scores between the two groups before treatment(all P > 0.05),which was comparable. After treatment, the HADS scores of both groups decreased compared that of before treatment(P<0.05),and the HADS score of the root-tip points association acupuncture group was lower than that of the routine acupuncture group(P<0.05).(4)Comparison of clinical efficacy scores between the two groups:after treatment, the total effective rate of the root-tippoints association acupuncture group(83.33%)was better than that of the routine acupuncture group(66.67%),with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Both the method of root-tip points association acupuncture and the method of conventional acupuncture have certain clinical efficacy in the treatment of hemidysesthesia after stroke, but the clinical efficacy of the method of root-tip points association acupuncture is better than the method of conventional acupuncture.(2)The method of acupuncture with root-tip points association acupuncture is better than the conventional method in improving sensory disorders, daily live ability, anxiety and depression.
