Students in secondary vocational schools are one of the important training objects in the field of vocational education. However, due to the influence of external factors such as education mode, family background, growth experience, social atmosphere, and internal factors such as immature psychology and lack of social experience, secondary vocational students are high-risk objects prone to psychological problems.Nursing students in secondary nursing school are a special group.Since nursing freshmen have just entered secondary nursing school from junior high school. They are generally 15 to18 years old,and they are in their adolescence. This period is the most prone to psychological confusion and psychological conflict. In the face of changes in social situations and social pressures, nursing students' ability to take care of themselves and their interpersonal skills is relatively lacking;the environment for studying and living in health school is significantly different from that of junior high school,so it is easy to produce some negative emotions for nursing students, especially for the girls who are vulnerable to stress.Nursing students will serve patients in the future. They must not only have professional skills in work, but also have good stress resistance and psychological qualities. These requirements cause some of the nursing freshmen to have pressure and fear on their majors, and even consider giving up their studies, which ultimately affects their studies and is not conducive to the long-term development of students. Therefore, paying attention to the psychological condition of nursing freshmen in technical secondary schools, and looking for intervention methods that can effectively improve their psychological state,is an important content of nursing education research in secondary vocational education for training nursing staff with excellent comprehensive qualities. Objectives:The purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological status of nursing freshmen in secondary nursing schools and its impact on the life, emotions, and physiology of nursing freshmen, and to explore effective intervention methods, including routine psychological education, progressive muscle relaxation therapy and third-line relaxation therapy. The comparison of different intervention methods provides effectivereference assessment and intervention schemes for the management of the psychological status of nursing freshmen in secondary nursing schools. Methods:This study included all freshmen from a first grade in a nursing school as a survey object.A total of 200 nursing freshmen were selected as research objects. In this study,a questionnaire survey was used to collect the subject's subjective psychological state(including indicators of life satisfaction, psychological resilience, stress, anxiety, depression, etc.),and the physiological indicators were used as objective indicators for assessing physical and mental state(including breathing, pulse, and diastole blood pressure, systolic blood pressure and other indicators). After screening out nursing freshmen who did not meet the entry requirements and excluding invalid questionnaires,a total of 190 people participated in the statistics.Nursing freshmen were divided into three groups in accordance with the random number table.Combined with previous research,we believe that progressive muscle relaxation and three-line relaxation therapy training can help to relieve the psychological stress and negative emotions of nursing freshmen. Therefore, more nursing freshmen are set up in this two groups, and groups A,B,and C are set up,with a ratio of 1: 2: 2.Nursing freshmen were intervened with routine psychological education, routine psychological education combined with progressive muscle relaxation,or routine psychological education combined with third-line relaxation therapy individually to analyze the effects of interventions on emotional problems and physical and mental states caused by psychological stress.Along with the baseline analysis, according to the severity of anxiety and depression before and after the intervention, the effects of intervention among the three groups were compared.Wilconxon signed rank test was used for comparison within groups before and after, and Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison between groups using the difference in rank changes.Results:1.The proportion of body discomfort in nursing freshmen is highNursing freshmen are greatly affected by stress and are prone to physical discomfort such as indigestion(10%),poor appetite(21.05%),and prone to cold sweat(20.00%).The stress of nursing students mainly comes from schools(70.68%)and families(61.58%).2.Nursing freshmen show a variety of decompression methodsListening to music and sleeping is the most commonly method of decompression for nursing students, accounting for 64.74% and 69.47%,respectively.Besides,over 65.00%of nursing freshmen first choose friends to talk about stress, but no nursing freshmen are willing to regard the teacher as their primary object.3.Subjective and overall life satisfaction of nursing freshmen are lowThere is a significant elevation in subjective and overall life satisfaction score before and after intervention. The intervention has a remarkable effect.4.The specific mental resilience of nursing freshmen is poorBefore the intervention, there are no statistically significant difference in target concentration and positive cognition between three groups;after the intervention, there are statistically significant differences in positive cognition, interpersonal assistance, and total score among three groups. There are significant differences in total score and all items respectively, except for emotional control score in intervention group. The intervention effect is significant.5.Nursing freshmen have a good response to three psychological intervention methods,of which progressive muscle relaxation and third-line relaxation therapy have a significant effect on relieving anxietyReceiving separate routine psychological education or combined with progressive muscle relaxation or three-line relaxation therapy effectively improved nursing freshmen's depression and anxiety(P <0.01),and also improved Physiological indicators(breathing, pulse, systolic and diastolic blood pressure)to some extent,of which routine psychological education combined with progressive muscle relaxation or combined three-line relaxation therapy, compared with routine psychological education alone, have a good effect of relieving anxiety(P <0.05)Conclusions:1.There is a high proportion of depression, anxiety, and other negative emotion among nursing students, accompanied by indigestion, stomach difference, night sweats and other physical discomfort, which need more attention by education management department. These questionnaires can sense pressure obviously, however, the decompression methods are diversified but not professional.Schools should pay attention to thecomparison of these three effective methods.2.Both routine mental health education combined with progressive muscle relaxation therapy and routine mental health education combined with third-line relaxation therapy are effective in relieving the psychological pressure of nursing freshmen, but there is no significant difference between the two progressive muscle relaxation therapy and third-line relaxation therapy. The enrichment of pathways for decompression of nursing freshmen and provide more options for students to relieve and release psychological stress. However,in terms of economics, operability, and scalability,third-line relaxation therapy can save manpower, material resources, and financial resources because of its simple to practice, easy to master, and free from time and space constraints, which is one of the most recommended methods.3.Schools should regularly conduct psychological counseling and counselling activities. In addition to routine mental health education, the progressive muscle relaxation method and the third-line relaxation method are incorporated into the daily teaching of nursing freshmen in technical secondary schools, which serves multiple purposes.Students can not only achieve the effect of relaxing their bodies and minds,so that they can stay focused in their studies, but also be able to make a reserve of capabilities in the operation of clinical skills, and have a significant contribution to the cultivation of high-quality and skilled nursing personnel.
