ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of auricular pressure bean combined with progressive muscle relaxation treatment on anxiety, depression, hearing recovery and clinical efficacy in patients with sudden deafness. The aim is to provide reference for clinical nursing of sudden deafness.MethodsThis experiment is an experimental study.Using the convenient sampling method,160 sudden deafness patients who were admitted to an Otolaryngology Department of a grade A tertiary hospital in linyi city from January 2016 to April 2017 according to the exclusion criteria.,and they were grouped according to the order of admission. The control group, the ear acupressure bean group, the progressive muscle relaxation treatment group, and the ear pressure bean combined progressive muscle relaxation treatment group of 40 cases each. The control group gave routine treatment and nursing care for sudden deafness, the ear acupressure bean group used traditional Chinese medicine to leave seeds to press the ear acupoint beans on the basis of conventional treatment and nursing, and the progressive muscle relaxation treatment group gave progressive muscle relaxation therapy on the basis of routine treatment and nursing. The ear acupressure bean combined with progressive muscle relaxation treatment group gave the ear acupressure bean and progressive muscle relaxation treatment on the basis of routine treatment and nursing.Anxiety, depression and hearing recovery in each group were assessed using the anxiety self-rating scale(SAS),the depression self-rating scale(SDS)and the German mekk audiometer for 14 days before and after intervention, and the clinical efficacy of the four groups was calculated. The data were statistically analyzed with SPSS20.0 software. The comparison of SAS,SDS and hearing in the four groups was compared with single factor analysis of variance. The comparison of SAS,SDS and hearing in each group was compared with the paired t test before and after intervention. The clinical efficacy of the four groups was compared to Kruskual-Wallis H test.Results1.The final study consisted of 38 patients in the control group,40 patients in the auricular pressure bean group,40 patients in the progressive muscle relaxation treatment group, and 40 patients in the auricular pressure bean combined with progressive muscle relaxation treatment group.2.There was no statistical difference between the four groups of subjects in terms of sex, age, place of residence, educational level, combined chronic diseases, religious beliefs, and medical payment methods(P > 0.05).3.Comparison of SAS scores in the four groups of patients:(1)Comparison within groups: On the 14 th day after intervention, the SAS of the four groups were lower than before the intervention(P<0.05).(2)Comparison between groups: 14 days after intervention, the SAS scores in the auricular point pressurization group and the progressive muscle relaxation group were statistically significant compared with the control group(P<0.05).The SAS scores of the auricular acupoints combined with the progressive muscle relaxation therapy group were lower than that of control group, ear acupressure group, and progressive muscle relaxation group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of SDS scores in the four groups of patients:(1)Comparison within groups: On the 14 th day after intervention, the SDS of the four groups were lower than before the intervention(P<0.05).(2)Comparison between groups: After 14 days of intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in SDS between the auricular acupoint group and the control group(P>0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between the progressive muscle relaxation group and the control group(P<0.05);The SDS scores of the auricular acupoints combined with the progressive muscle relaxation therapy group were lower than that of control group, ear acupressure group, and progressive muscle relaxation group(P<0.05).5.Comparison of hearing threshold in the four groups of patients:(1)Comparison within groups: On the 14 th day after intervention, the hearing threshold of the four groups was lower than that before the intervention(P<0.05).(2)Comparison between groups: 14 days after intervention, the hearing threshold of patients in the ear acupressure bean group, the progressive muscle relaxation therapy group, and the combined progressive muscle relaxation therapy group of the ear acupressure bean were all lower than the control group(P<0.05).The hearing threshold of the auricular acupoints combined with the progressive muscle relaxation therapy group were lower than that of ear acupressure group and progressive muscle relaxation group(P<0.05).6.Comparison of the clinical efficacy in the four groups of patients: the clinical efficacy of ear pressure bean group and progressive muscle relaxation therapy group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(Bonferroni method,P>0.008);Compared with the control group, the clinical effect of auricular pressure bean combined with progressive muscle relaxation therapy was statistically significant(P<0.008).There was no statistically significant difference in the clinical efficacy of progressive muscle relaxation therapy group, auricular point pressurization combined with progressive muscle relaxation therapy group and auricular point pressurization group(Bonferroni method,P>0.008);Compared with the progressive muscle relaxation therapy group the clinical efficacy of progressiveness of auricular point pressurization combined with progressive muscle relaxation therapy group Muscle relaxation therapy group was not statistically significant(Bonferroni method,P>0.008).ConclusionThe auricular point pressurization combined with gradual muscle relaxation therapy is superior to the auricular point pressure bean therapy and simple progressive muscle relaxation therapy in relieving the anxiety and depression of patients with sudden deafness and improving the hearing level of patients. However, only the auricular point pressurization combined with progressive muscle relaxation therapy can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of patients with sudden deafness. The auricular point pressure bean combined with gradual muscle relaxation therapy embodies the characteristic nursing of integrated Chinese and western medicine and can be applied in hospitals.
