Objective: To investigate the incidence of cognitive impairment and the distribution of TCM syndromes in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)in the treatment area of Xinkang Center and Cardiology Department of Cardiology,Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in 2019 Laying the foundation for clinical intervention. Methods: A cross-sectional investigation method was used. The cases originated from patients with CHD who were hospitalized in the heart health center treatment area and heart disease center treatment area of the affiliated hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2019.Use the medical record system query to determine the patients who meet the criteria and record their basic information such as gender, age, smoking history, drinking history, etc.Use face-to-face conversation in the ward of the treatment area to measure MMSE,MoCA and other neuropsychological scales on target patients. The four diagnostic methods of TCM are used to measure the symptoms of TCM syndromes on patients.Enter the collected data into an Excel spreadsheet for summary, correlation and descriptive analysis of the compiled data with SPSS 21(P <0.05 indicates statistically significant comparison between groups). To investigate the incidence of cognitive impairment in patients with CHD,the correlation between demographic information and cognitive function in patients with CHD,and the distribution of TCM syndromes.Results:1.Incidence: Of the 409 patients included in this study,222 were in the cognitive impairment group, accounting for 54.28%,and 187 were in the normal cognitive group, accounting for 45.72%.2.Demographic data analysis:Gender: Chi-square test suggested(X2 = 19.754,P <0.05)that the proportion of males in the cognitive impairment group(40.5%)was lower than that in the normal cognitive group(62.0%),and the percentage of females in the cognitive impairment group(59.5%)was higher than In the normal cognitive group(38.0%),the proportion of women in the cognitive impairment group was higher than that in men.Age: The Mann-Whitney U test showed that the age of the cognitive impairment group(67.74 ± 6.97)was higher than that of the normal cognitive group(55.87 ± 8.54)(P <0.001).Years of education: The Mann-Whitney U test showed that the number of years of education in the cognitive impairment group(9.86 ± 4.15)was lower than that in the normal cognitive group(13.5 ± 2.69)(P <0.001).Smoking history: Chi-square test(X2 = 14.059,P <0.05)showed that the number of people with a history of smoking in the cognitive impairment group was lower than that in the normal cognitive group.Drinking history: Chi-square test(X2=2.897,P>0.05)had no statistically significant difference in drinking history between the two groups.3.Distribution of TCM syndromes: Among the single and multiple types of syndromes, two types of syndromes and three types of syndromes are most common, accounting for 33.50% and 33.01%,respectively;Among the 15 combinations of the two types of syndromes, deficiency of qi and blood + stagnation of brain collaterals are more common, accounting for 39.42%,followed by stasis of stagnation of brain collaterals + yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity syndrome(18.98%),and Qiao + qi and blood deficiency syndrome(10.95%),phlegm and turbidity + stasis brain collateral syndrome(10.22%);Among the 20 combinations of the three types of syndromes, deficiency of qi and blood + stasis of the brain collaterals + yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity are more common, accounting for 36.29%,followed by phlegm, turbidity,qi and blood deficiency + yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity(10.37%);Among the comprehensive distribution of syndromes, stagnant brain collateral syndrome is the most common, accounting for 76.77%,followed by qi deficiency and blood deficiency(65.77%),yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity(47.43%),phlegm and turbidity(34.96%),spleen and kidney Deficiency(19.32%),fever poisoning(12.71%),and stagnation of turbid stasis(9.54%).Conclusion:1 The incidence of cognitive impairment in patients with CHD in this study was 54.28%;2 Gender, age, years of education, and smoking history are related to the development of cognitive impairment in patients with CHD.Women are more likely to develop cognitive impairment than men;older age is more likely to develop cognitive impairment;patients without a history of smoking are more likely to develop cognitive impairment than patients with a history of smoking;3 TCM syndromes in patients with CHD are the most common with stasis in the brain and qi and blood deficiency.
