ObjectiveBy comparing the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus fire needle therapy with that of acupuncture alone in the treatment of pustular acne,to explore the advantages of fire needle in eliminating inflammatory reaction, improving skin lesions and scar repair.MethodsSixty patients with pustular acne who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups. In the control group,30 cases were treated with acupuncture:Yang bai(double),Quan liao(double),Da zhui,He gu(double),Qu chi(double)and Nei ting(double).Routine acupuncture at each point and proper acupoint matching according to syndrome type.Acupuncture was performed for three times a week,10 times was a course of treatment, and a total of 2 courses of treatment. In the treatment group,30 patients were treated with acupuncture plus fire needle, acupuncture point selection and operation were the same as the control group.Acupoint selection by fire acupuncture: A shi acupoint(acne part)can be pricked once.Vacuum cupping device was leaved at the pricking part for 2-3 minutes, and it is better to extract the pus blood mixture locally.Acupuncture was performed once a week,10 times was a course of treatment, and a total of 1 course of treatment. Before and after treatment, the GAGS score, skin lesion score, and serum testosterone levels were compared, the symptoms and signs of the two groups were scored, and the difference in efficacy between the two groups was observed.Combined with statistical methods for analysis and comparison,so as to further explore the clinical efficacy of experimental therapy.Results(1)Gags score comparison: before and after treatment, there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the two groups had significant therapeutic effect;after treatment, there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group in the overall treatment of acne.(2)Comparison of skin lesion scores: After treatment, the skin lesion scores of the twogroups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05).There was a significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group in reducing skin lesions.(3)Comparison of serum testosterone level: after treatment, the level of serum testosterone in the treatment group decreased significantly(P<0.05),while the level of serum testosterone in the control group did not change significantly(P > 0.05);the level of serum testosterone in the two groups after treatment was different(P < 0.05),and the level of serum testosterone in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group. It shows that fire needle therapy can effectively reduce the level of serum testosterone in patients with pustular acne.(4)Overall efficacy comparison: the total effective rate of the treatment group was96.67%,the total effective rate of the control group was 90%,there was statistical significance between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion(1)Acupuncture plus fire needle therapy has a significant effect on shortening the course of pustular acne and improving the repair of skin lesions.(2)Acupuncture plus fire needle therapy can effectively prevent acne from recurring and reduce the number of attacks, effectively alleviate the symptoms of patients, reduce the pain of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients.(3)This study provides new methods and ideas for the treatment of pustular acne.
