Objective: to investigate the effect and safety of Zengye decoction on the patients with xerostomia caused by Yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity after radiotherapy.Methods: Sixty Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma patients with xerostomia caused by radiotherapy were randomly divided into n 30 group and N 30 control group by admission to Xinjiang from December 2018 to March 2020,in the whole course of 8 weeks,the experimental group was treated with Zengye decoction and Kangfuxin liquid,and the control group was treated with Kangfuxin liquid.Results: 1.There were no significant differences in gender,age,VAS scores and KPS scores between the two groups.2.By comparing the curative effect and effective rate of the two groups,the test group was superior to the control group,the dry mouth score decreased obviously,and the improvement of dry mouth disease was also very significant.3.No adverse reactions and adverse events were observed before and after treatment in both groups,and the safety was good.Conclusion: The modified Zengye decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with dry mouth after radiotherapy and is safe for clinical application.
