A Study On The Present Situation And Related Factors Of Sarcopenia In Elderly Patients With Hypertension In Community

Objective To investigate the detection rate of sarcopenia in elderly patients with hypertension in community and explore the related factors of sarcopenia in elderly patients with hypertension.Methods From March to October 2019,555 hypertensive patients over60 years old in three communities of Urumqi were selected for the study by convenient sampling method,and sarcopenia was screened by Ishii scale.All subjects were invited to participate in our objective measurement and questionnaire survey.Among them,the objective measures included height,waist-to-hip ratio,calf circumference,upper arm circumference,body mass index,etc.The information collected from the questionnaire included general population data(gender,age,education level,weekly exercise,etc.),health literacy and nutritional status.Ishii scale was used to screen Sarcopenia and investigate the detection rate of Sarcopenia in the elderly with hypertension in this area.After data collection and input,SPSS17.0 was used for univariate analysis and Logistic multivariate analysis of influencing factors of Sarcopenia in elderly patients with community hypertension in urumqi.Results:1.209 cases of sarcopenia were detected in555 elderly patients with hypertension,the detection rate was 37.66%.;among them,the Ishii score of male elderly hypertensive patients(94.18±29.49),and the Sarcopenia detection rate was 36.11 %;Female Ishii score(111.88±30.77),and the detection rate of Sarcopenia was 38.64%,and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);2.There were differences in age,education and weekly exercise between Sarcopenia group and non-Sarcopenia group(P<0.05);3.The grip strength,walking speed,leg circumference,BMI and nutrition scores of hypertension patients with sarcopenia group were lower than those of non-sarcopenia group(P < 0.05);4.The 45.4%of 555 elderly patients with hypertension in the community showed a lack of health literacy,with an average score(32.59±17.56),an average score of health literacy in the Sarcopenia group(30.21±17.44),and an average score of health literacy in the non-musclegroup(33.98±17.50).The health literacy score of the Sarcopenia group in the elderly with hypertension is lower than that in the non-Sarcopenia group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);5.Multivariate logistic regression analysis shows that increasing age and underweight are risk factors for hypertension in the elderly in the community of Urumqi(P<0.05);high education level above junior high school and good nutrition are the protective factors of Sarcopenia in the elderly with hypertension in Urumqi community(P<0.05).Conclusion The prevalence of sarcopenia is high in the elderly patients with hypertension in Urumqi community,and grip strength,calf circumference and BMI are the important related factors of sarcopenia in the community patients with hypertension.Therefore,in order to delay or reverse the development of Sarcopenia,early screening and intervention should be carried out for elderly hypertensive patients in the community according to the Grip strength ? calf Circumference and BMI.
