Correlational Study Between High-sensitivity C-reactive Protein In Chronic Periodontitis And Hypertension In Rural Uighurs

Objective: To analyze the periodontal status,blood pressure index and serum high-sensitivity-CRP level of Uygur adults with chronic periodontitis(CP)and hypertensi on(HTN)in Moyu County,Xinjiang.To explore the relationship between chronic periodontitis and hypertension and hs-CRP in Uygur adults in Moyu County.Methods: Analysis the oral epidemiological data and blood samples,which were screened from Uyghur population in Moyu County,Xinjiang.Finally,59 cases of healthy control group,66 cases pure periodontitis group,31 cases of pure hypertension group and 43 cases of chronic periodontitis were obtained.The correlation between the difference of probing depth,attachment loss,calculus Index,sulcular bleeding Index,systolic pressure,diastolic pressure and serum hs-CRP levels with chronic periodontitis and hypertension was analyzed among the groups.Results: The PD and CI of CP+HTN group were higher than those of HC group,CP group and HTN group.AL,PD and CI were more significant than those of HC group and HTN group(P<0.05).The serum hs-CRP level,systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were higher in periodontitis group than in HC group,CP group and HTN group(P<0.05);hs-CRP was positively correlated with PD,AL,CI,and SBI in each group,and the correlation coefficients(r)were 0.255,0.199,0.364,and 0.364(P<0.05).It was positively correlated with systolic pressure and diastolic pressure the correlation coefficients were 0.280 and 0.184(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chronic periodontitis in rural uighurs is associated with hypertension.The periodontal index of patients with hypertension with periodontitis is higher than that of patients with simple periodontitis.Hyperte nsion may aggravate the factors of periodontal tissue destruction.Chronic periodontit is may increase the serum hs-CRP level of patients with hypertension.
