Application Of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery In Perioperative Management Of Hepatic Cystic Echinococcosis In Children

Objective:To explore the safety and efficacy of employing the model of enhanced recovery after surgery in perioperative management of hepatic cystic echinococcosis in children.Methods: This study was a retrospective study.Retrospective analyses were performed for 44 cases with hepatic cystis echinococcosis from February 2017 to January 2019.Divided into ERAS group(n=20)and control group(n=24)according to whether or not adapt ERAS management model.Two groups were compared with regards to operation duration,intraoperative blood loss,perioperation blood transfusion and postoperative complications.The serum C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukon-6(IL-6)and fasting plasma glucose levels were measured 1d after operation.The times of postoperative ambulation,fasting,anal exhaust and postoperative hospitalization time and cost.Results :The PCT and fasting plasma glucose levels at the first postoperative day significantly decreased in ERAS group and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).No inter-group statistical difference existed in the CRP values and leukocyte at the first postoperative day,operation duration,intraoperative blood loss,perioperation blood transfusion(P > 0.05).The postoperative complications and the times of postoperative ambulation,fasting,anal exhaust decreased in ERAS group and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the postoperative hospitalization time and cost decreased in ERAS group and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:ERAS model may lower traumaticstress,promote postoperative recovery and reduce medical expence.And it is both safe and effective during perioperative management of children with hepatic cystic echinococcosis.
