Objective Surface electromyography(sEMG)was used to evaluate objectively the curative effect of Fourier M2 upper limb rehabilitation robot based on visual feedback, which could provide reference for optimizing the evaluation and treatment of upper limb dysfunction after stroke. Methods Sixty patients who met the criteria were randomly divided into three groups:robot group, grinding board group and control group with 20 cases in each group. All patients in the three groups received routine rehabilitation treatment. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation therapy and the elbow flexion and extension training, the grinding board group was treated with routine rehabilitation therapy and grinding plate, and the robot group was treated with routine rehabilitation therapy and Fourier M2 upper limb rehabilitation robot. All the patients were treated once a day for 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the root mean square(RMS)of biceps brachii(BB)and triceps brachii(TB)were measured by sEMG when the maximal isometric voluntary contraction(MIVC)was performed, and simplified fugl-meyer assessment(FMA)and modified barthel index(MBI)were evaluated. Then SPSS20.0 Statistical software was used for data processing. Results 1.Before treatment, the RMS of BB and TB in the affected side of the three groups were lower than those in the healthy side, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).2.The FMA,MBI and RMS of BB and TB on the affected side of the three groups all increased after treatment compared with those of before, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).The robot group was superior to the grinding plate group and the control group(p<0.05),and the grinding plate group was superior to the control group(p<0.05).3.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the RMS of BB and TB on the affected side were significantly correlated with MBI and FMA in the 60 patients after treatment(p<0.01).Conclusions 1.The fourier M2 upper limb rehabilitation robot based on visual feedback can effectively improve the activation and recruitment of biceps brachii and triceps brachii motor units, thus improve the upper limb motor function and the activity of daily living(ADL)of stroke patients.2.This study confirmed that sEMG can be used as an effective assessment of upper limb function in stroke patients with hemiplegia, and compared with FMA and MBI scales,it can more accurately reflect the contraction of a single muscle.
