Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of shu-mu acupuncture on treatment of obese polycystic ovary syndrome belongs to the syndrome of spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction by comparing with westren medicine Diane-35,to explore the superiority of shu-mu acupuncture intervention in improving clinical symptoms,improving curative effect and less adverse reactions of obese PCOS patients.Thus to provide a new idea and method for clinical treatment of this disease.Methods: Seventy patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group(35 cases)and the control group(35 cases).The treatment group was treated with shu-mu acupuncture,the control group was treated with oral western medicine Diane-35.Two groups were treated with one menstrual cycle as a course of treatment,a total of three courses of treatment.The changes of total score of TCM symptoms,body mass index(BMI)and serum sex hormone levels were observed before and after treatment.Comprehensive evaluation of curative effect after statistical analysis.Results:1.General data comparison: There were no statistical differences of the two groups of patients in age,course of disease,BMI and sex hormone level(P>0.05),all comparable.2.After treatment,the total effective rate was 88.23% in the treatment group and 77.42% in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant.3.TCM symptoms total score evaluation results: Compared with before treatment,the two groups could improve the total score of TCM symptoms,the difference has statistical significance(P(27)0.05).There was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(P(27)0.05),The results showed that both of them could improve the total score of TCM symptoms,and the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.4.Serum sex hormone level evaluation results: Compared before and after treatmen,there were significant differences in luteinizing hormone(LH),luteinizing hormone/follicle stimulating hormone(LH/FSH),testosterone(T)and estradiol(E2)in the treatment group(P(27)0.05);There were significant differences in LH,LH/FSH and T in the controlgroup(P(27)0.05).Compared with the control group,the serum levels of LH,LH/FSH and E2 in the treatment group had statistical significance(P(27)0.05),and there was no statistical significance of FSH,T and PRL in serum sex hormone levels.(P>0.05).The results showed that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group on improving LH,LH/FSH and E2 was better than that of the control group.5.BMI evaluation results: Compared before and after treatment,BMI in the treatment group had statistical significance(P(27)0.05),while BMI in the control group had no statistical significance(P>0.05).After treatment,there was statistical significance between the treatment group and the control group.The results showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in reducing BMI significantly.6.Safety evaluation results:Examination: Before and after treatment,there was no significant abnormality in the general vital signs of the two groups.Adverse reactions: In the control group,one patient had headache and discomfort,and one patient had nausea and abdominal distension,the reaction disappeared after rest or temporary discontinuation of medication,which did not affect continued treatment.Patients in the treatment group showed no untoward effects.Conclusion:1.The clinical effect of shu-mu acupuncture on treatment of obese PCOS patients is better than that of oral western medicine Diane-35,moreover,shu-mu acupuncture has a more significant effect in reducing BMI.2.Compared with oral western medicine Diane-35,shu-mu acupuncture has no adverse reactions,safe and effective.
