Objective: To investigate the expression of AEG-1 and CHD5 in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues, and to explore the correlation between the expression of AEG-1 and clinicopathological characteristics. To explore the relationship between the expression of the two and the clinicopathological features of gastric cancer and the correlation between the expression of the two genes.Analyze the association between the two genes and their role in the development of gastric cancer. In order to provide new diagnostic indicators and treatment target sites for gastric cancer patients. Methods: A total of 58 gastric cancer tissues and 58 adjacent cancer tissues were removed from the general surgery gastrointestinal area of the General Hospital of the Northern Theater.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of AEG-1and CHD5 in 58 cases of gastric cancer tissues and their adjacent tissues.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS19.0 statistical software.Counting data application line× contingency table c(17)test.Correlation analysis between AEG-1 and CHD5 was performed using Spearman correlation analysis. All test results were expressed as P<0.05 as the difference was statistically significant. Results: The high expression of AEG-1 in gastric cancer tissues and corresponding adjacent tissues were 74.14%(43/58)and 37.93%(22/58)respectively.The expression of AEG-1 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(c(17)=22.356,P=0.000).The high expression of CHD5 in gastric cancer tissues and corresponding adjacent tissues were 32.76%(19/58)and 70.69%(41/58)respectively.The expression of CHD5 in adjacent tissues was significantly higher than that in gastric cancer tissues(c(17)= 16.710,P = 0.000).There was no statistical difference in the expression level of AEG-1 protein in patients' gender, age, degree of differentiation and tumor diameter(P>0.05).But there was a statistically significant difference with TNM stage, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, and Lauren classification(P<0.05).The expression level of CHD5 protein was not statistically different in the gender, age, tumor diameter, depth of invasion and Lauren classification(P>0.05).But there was a statistically significant difference in the degree of differentiation,TNM stage, and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between the expression level of AEG-1 protein and CHD5 protein(r=-0.595,P=0.000).Conclusion: AEG-1 and CHD5 are closely related to the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer, which provide a new prognostic indicator of survival and therapeutic targets for patients with gastric cancer.
