| Doctors are the most valuable assets of Tanzania’s health system since quality,efficiency,and equity of the health services are all depend on the availability of skilled and competent doctors.Also,it is important for doctors to be appropriately trained and being satisfied with their jobs in order to be motivated and have good performance.Therefore,this study analyzes the factors that contribute to the low performance of doctors in Tanzania,with Muhimbili National Hospital as a case study.The study uses the descriptive design that has SWOT analysis.Both Primary and Secondary data were also applied,so as a researcher could have an interview with the respondents during the time of submitting the questionnaires.Baseline on the results,the study reveals that there are deficiencies in human resource management especially in the aspect of recognition of those employees who perform better,the salary,benefits,and remunerations were given to doctors wouldn’t motivate all of them to perform better.Also,working conditions lack modern equipment and funds to cover the cost of maintaining and improving them.As a result,these factors contribute to the low performance of doctors. |
