Research On The Combination Model Of Medical And Elderly Care Of The Geriatrics Branch Hospital Of Luohu District,Shenzhen

As China's aging population increasingly grows,China is confronted with the emerging problems of the elderly care.Therefore,China is committed to innovating the old-age care model including encouraging medical institutions to actively participate in old-age care services and putting forward the new combination model of medical and old-age care,in order to solve the elderly care problems,and meet the need for medical care,of the elderly.Currently,the combination model in community-level medical and health care institutions have been carried out nationwide,yet with problems such as unapparent advantages of making the combination model expandable and lack of medical personnel.In short,how to set up the systematic combination model by combining medical care and scientific elderly care remains the urgent problem to be solved by the government departments concerned,medical care institutions and elderly care institutions.With the combination model of medical and old-age care of public medical institutions in Luohu District,Shenzhen city as the research object and the combination model of the Luohu District People's Hospital Geriatrics Branch Hospital as the typical example,this paper finds out problems in the combination model in Luohu District by learning lessons at home and abroad on the basis of situation analysis,field investigation and questionnaire and under the guidance of Welfare Pluralism Theory and Hierarchy of Needs Theory.Research results indicate that there exist problems in the combination model of medical and old-age care of public medical institutions in Luohu District including failure to realize the real-time settlement of medical insurance in different places,lack of medical personnel,the cancellation of the authorized permanent staff system in public medical institutions,unapparent advantages of making the combination model expandable and vacant position of professional dietitian.These problems result from backward development of information technology(IT)application in medical institutions,shortage of specialized medical talents,the cancellation of the authorized permanent staff system in national medical reform,limitation of the combination model and lack of attention to the dietary needs of special patients groups.Finally,this paper proposes suggestions to improve the combination model in public medical institutions in Shenzhen city,that is,to improve relevant policy systems,speed up the construction of IT application sharing,strengthen the cultivation of professional talents and encourage the growth of socialized markets.
