Health Times Network Report On Depression(2008-2018)

According to new estimates from the world health organization,more than 400 million people around the world currently suffer from depression.According to its projections,depression will be listed among the top three health "killers" along with AIDS and cancer by 2020.The number of depressed people in China is close to 100 million,and about 1 million people commit suicide every year due to depression,and the number of people suffering from depression is increasing.In contrast to the explosive growth of news about depression,which is increasingly troubling all walks of life in the society,the lack of knowledge about depression among the public makes it particularly important for the mass media to report information on the health transmission of depression.As the main provider of information resources,the whole society,construct the mass media for information on the one hand,for some problem of cognition,on the other hand,the mass media agenda setting for the society as a whole,therefore,the research of mass media for depression health communication,to eliminate the misunderstanding between the people on the depression,depression,prevention of knowledge popularization,increase the rate of depression treatment has the very vital significance.This article mainly adopts content analysis and text analysis,based on the field of health communication,analysis of the health professional papers on the official website of The Times of health health network times from 2008 to 2018 in depression issues every news report,according to a report in the image transmission characteristics,depression,framework and other categories of each news report do the data analysis,through the study found that the health times net reported nearly a decade in depression issues is positive,but there are some problems,such as: The reports on depression and its patients are mainly at the level of news.The diversity of reporting styles is reduced,and experts and scholars are the main sources of information.However,the discourse power of depressed patients is missing,and the real life of depressed patients is not fully and deeply presented.In a word,the media's bias in depression related reports will affect the audience's perception of depression,and even lead to misunderstanding and prejudice,forming stereotypes.Therefore,this paper attempts to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of health times network in reporting depression in recent ten years,and to put forward the optimization strategies for the health communication of depression by mass media in China,so as to construct the correct cognition of depression among the public.
