Research On The Construction Of Health Times' Tobacco Control Issues(2007-2019)

At present,health issues have received more and more attention and attention from the whole society,and tobacco is a major threat to the health of the entire society.It not only harms the body of the smoker,but the second-hand smoke it produces also affects everyone in the society.Therefore,it is the incumbent responsibility of the contemporary media to do healthy communication represented by the issue of tobacco control.At the same time,tobacco control is an international issue.It has been 17 years since China signed the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control in 2003,but according to the report of WHO,although our efforts in tobacco control have achieved certain results,they have not yet reached the standards set by WHO.This is not in line with China's gradual rise in international status and the image of a great power.This study analyzes the current status of tobacco control issues in the Health Times website,reveals the overall overview of Health Times' coverage of tobacco control issues,the distribution of reporting topics,and sorts out the reporting framework and the presentation of the issues.Based on the interview results,the factors affecting the construction of tobacco control issues were discussed,and the problems were pointed out.Finally,an optimization strategy was proposed for the tobacco control reports in the mass media.The study found that the annual distribution of health-time tobacco control reports was uneven,reaching 57 peaks in 2015,and although there were ups and downs,the annual average still reached more than 20,more than before 2015.The topics of the report mainly focused on the "hazards of tobacco" and "status and effects of tobacco control",both of which accounted for 51.6% of the total reported.The reporting framework mainly consists of 123 measures-effects-perspectives,which is higher than the 89 and 38 of the other two frameworks.Report types focus on "news reports" and "news synthesis",while "news reviews" are only one-fifth of both.In the distribution of reported sources,there are a maximum of 90 articles from medical staff and(medical)experts and scholars.It is worth noting that there are 56 reports with unknown sources,ranking second.The influencing factors are various,including social factors,including politics,economy,and culture,which restrict the depth and breadth of tobacco control reports;factors from the Health Times website itself,which are positioned in professional health media;and reports from The factors of the target are tobacco,and the diseases that tobacco may cause are probabilistic.There are also factors from readers.The report of popular science knowledge has a lower impact on readers than the action prompting effect of readers who care about them.Finally,by summing up the above findings,this article proposes an optimization strategy for the construction of tobacco control issues in the mass media: the quality of reporters should strengthen the learning of tobacco control-related knowledge(including policy and medical aspects),and enhance the ability to construct issues;media values It is necessary to disseminate the correct awareness of tobacco harm;the professional operation level of the media includes the optimization of the audience,content and communication channels.
