Objective: To analyze and compare the clinical effects of using disposable circumcision suture device and Shang Ring in the treatment of phimosis or redundant prepuce. Methods: All patients admitted to the outpatient department of urology in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University,Xining No.1 People's Hospital and Xining No.2 People's Hospital from December 1st,2017 to November 30 th,2018,who were diagnosed as phimosis or redundant prepuce, were included.Patients were grouped according to the type of device was used.A total of 204 cases were included in the DCSC group and 197 cases in the RC group.Relevant indicators were analyzed to evaluate the treatment efficiency of each group. Results: The incidence of postoperative hematoma in the group of using disposable circumcision suture device(DCSC)was higher than that in the group of using Shang Ring(RC)(P < 0.05).The incidence of postoperative edema, operative time and 24 H postoperative pain score of patients in the DCSC group were higher than those in the RC group(P < 0.05).Among the patients in the DCSC group, the operative time of the patients in the group of 12 years old or younger was more than that of the patients in the group of 13~18 years old,and the operative time of the patients in the group of 13~18 years old was more than that of the patients in the group of over 18 years old(P < 0.0125).The incidence of postoperative hematoma in the 12 years old group or younger was higher than that in the remaining two groups(P < 0.0125).Among patients in RC group, the operative time of patients aged less than or equal to 12 years was longer than the remaining two groups(P < 0.0125),and the satisfaction of patients aged less than or equal to 12 years was lower than that of patients aged 13~18 years(P < 0.0125).When analyzing the patients with different operative methods in same ages,in the group of less than or equal to 12 years old,the incidence of postoperative hematomas in DCSC group is higher than the patients in RC group(P < 0.05),but in 24 H postoperative pain score, operation time and postoperative satisfaction were better than RC group's patients(P < 0.05).Among patients aged 13~18 years in RC group, the incidence of postoperative edema was higher and the operation time was longer than that of patients in DCSC group. Conclusions: 1.DCSC is superior to RC in the incidence of postoperative edema,24 h postoperative pain score and operation time, and there is no need to remove the ring after operation, avoiding the secondary pain caused by demolition;2.The incidence of hematoma after RC is better than DCSC;3.In patients younger than or equal to 18 years old, except for the high incidence of hematoma, all other indicators of patients using DCSC are no worse than those using RC,and there is no need to remove the ring after surgery and can avoid pain during ring removal.4.There was no statistically significant difference in the indicators among patients older than 18 years;5.The two surgical methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. It is still necessary to consider the specific situation and willingness of patients to choose an appropriate surgical method in clinical work.
