The Sibiraea angustata is a kind of Characteristic wild plant in North-west region,it contains a variety of active ingredients to give it some economic value, and medicinal value. This study takes the Sibiraea angustata which has abundant resources in Qinghai Province as the research object, the changes and differences in the content of terpenoids and volatile oil in different growth stages were compared through experiments, this study investigates the variation of the content of two functional components with plant growth stage, and then explores the best period for its development and utilization. The results are as follows:1.The results of qualitative analysis show that both leaves and ears of Sibiraea angustata contain terpenoids and volatile oil.2.By comparing the two extraction methods of terpenoids, the ultrasonic extraction method is superior to the solvent extraction method, and the extraction process is optimized.3.By comparing the two extraction methods of volatile oil,the ultrasonic-assisted steam distillation method is superior to the steam distillation method, and the extraction process is optimized.4.Through the study of the changes of the content of terpenoids and volatile oil in different growth stages, the content of terpenoids in the leaves has increasing trend with changes in the growth period, and the ear maturity stage is the highest, followed by the growing stage and the leaf-expanding stage, the content of terpenoids in the ears first increases and then decreases with changes in the growth period, and the growing stage is the highest, followed by the leaf-expanding stage and the ear maturity stage. The content of volatile oil of leaves and ears increases first and then decreases with changes in the growth period, and the growing stage was the highest, followed by the leaf-expanding stage and the ear maturity stage.5.The components of volatile oil from leaves and ears of Sibiraea angustata were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),and the peak area normalization method was used to determine the relative content of each component.
