In this paper,the chemical compositions of two plants were studied.Genus Uvaria belongs to fanmily Annonaceae,and most of the plants from this genus are climbing shrub plants.This genus had about 220 species all over the world,9 species are found in China.Mainly in the southern and southwestern areas.A variety of natural products have been found in this genus,and some of them showed antitumor activities.In order to better understand the chemical composition and bioacitivity of Uaria grandiflora,a plant from genus Uvaria,we launch this research.The leaves of U.grandiflora were extracted by ethanol,and 16 compounds were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography,sephadex column chromatography,preparative thin layer chromatography,recrystallization and so on from the ethanol ectracts.13 compounds,including three terpenoinds,two alkaloids,one flavonoids,two sterols and one alkynol,were identified by NMR(1D NMR and 2D NMR),optical rotation,TLC comparison,and 8 compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.Sibiraea angustata belongs to family Rosaceae,and it was mainly distributed in Sichuan,Gansu,Qinghai and Yunnan provinces,growing at an altitude of 3000 to 4000 meters.It was known as "Liu tea" and used as folk medicine for the treatment of indigetion and upset stomach.In order to further understand the chemical composition and bioactivity of S.angustata,we performed this research.The branches and leaves of S.angustata were extracted by ethanol,and the extracts were further separated and purified by silica gel column chromatography,sephadex column chromatography,preparative thin layer chromatography and recrystallization.9 pure compounds were isolated and 7 of them were identified by NMR(1D NMR and 2D NMR),optical rotation,ECD.The structure of the identified compounds belong to terpenoids,aromatic acids,etc,and four of them were isolated from this plant for the first time.
