Objective: By observing the clinical effect of acupuncture treatment on the residual lower limb numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy in patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation,To provide clinical basis and treatment idea for guiding the treatment of residual lower limb numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy and To improve the therapeutic effect of Lumbar Disc Herniation. Methods: Collecting the 60 patients of the residual lower limb numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy in patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation that was diagnosed in department 3 of xia men hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2017 to February 2019,randomly divided into acupuncture group(30 cases)and general treatment control group(30 cases). The control group was given oral mecobalamine tablets: 0.5mg/time tid.Take it continuously for 25 days. The experimental group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group(acupuncture: The sensitive points,Wei Zhong,Shen Shu,Da Chang Shu,Cheng Shan,Yao Jia Ji Xue,Huan Tiao,Xuan Zhong.Matching points: blood stasis plus Ge Shu and Xue Hai;The cold evil mainly adds Yao Yang Guan.add Yin Ling Quan and Zu San Li mainly with dampness;add Da Zhui and Qu Chi mainly with heat evil. All point adopts the technique of tonifying and decocting),The acupuncture therapy was performed once a day, with one acupuncture course for 12 days;Rest for 1 days after the end of acupuncture treatment, and then proceed to the second acupuncture treatment course.Sensory information of the affected limb was recorded before and after treatment.Sensory information included 10 g single nylon wire examination, pressure acupuncture examination and numbness VAS score.Statistical analysis was performed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture the residual lower limb Numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy in patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation.Results:(1)There were no statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in gender, age, course of disease, prominent segment,10 g single nylon wire examination score before treatment, pressure acupuncture sensation examination score before treatment, and numbness VAS score before treatment. Therefore, the two groups of patients were comparable(P>0.05).(2)After treatment, the scores of 10 g single nylon wire examination and 40 g pressure acupuncture sensation examination in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score of numbness in both groups was significantly lower than that before treatment and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The improvement degree of 10 g single nylon filament examination skin,40 g pressure acupuncture sensation examination score and numbness VAS score in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)No cases fell off during the study, and no obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups of patients during the treatment, such as needle sickness, needle lag, broken needle, etc. Conclusion: Oral mecobalamine tablets combined with acupuncture therapy and oral mecobalamine tablets alone can improve the clinical symptoms of lumbar disc herniation patients with residual lower limb numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy. Moreover, the curative effect of oral mecobalamine tablets combined with acupuncture therapy is obviously better than that of oral mecobalamine tablets alone. It was further indicated that acupuncture could improve the symptoms of the residual lower limb numbness after Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy in patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation.
