Objective: Observe and analyze the long-term effect of percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)in the treatment of Kummell's disease. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 42 patients with osteoporotic Kummell disease treated by PKP surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from2013 to 2017 was conducted, including 8 males and 34 females,Between the ages of 53 and 87,the average age was 71 years.A total of 92 vertebral bodies were included.Among them,52 cases of the vertebral body had a preoperative visual analogue scale(VAS)greater than 6,all with varying degrees of pain history,Forty-two patients underwent complete 3D-CT and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)examinations and percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)after admission. All the patients were given imaging data, and each patient was divided into two groups Preoperative, postoperative 1 month,1 year after surgery to the end of the follow-up observation by comparing the patients preoperative and postoperative 1 month postoperative 1 year to the end of the follow-up point VAS score, functional status score standards(Karnofsky,KPS)and Oswesay disability index(ODI)to evaluate the curative effect, and then to analyze the long-term prognosis of patients. Results: All 42 patients underwent successful surgery.Among them,32 patients underwent unilateral vertebral puncture(all were left puncture)and 20 patients underwent bilateral vertebral puncture.Bone cement injection volume of 1.5 ~ 13 ml.Surgery time 43 ~ 65 min.Postoperative wounds were I-phase wound healing,no infection and poor healing.Postoperative pain symptoms were significantly alleviated. The average postoperative hospital stay of about 4.5 days. The statistical analysis showed that the follow-up results of each index after operation were significantly lower than 0.05 before operation, the difference was statistically significant. The follow-up results of each period were compared with each other, the P values were greater than 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant Significance of learning. There were 2 cases of slight cement leakage during operation, which did not cause obvious clinical symptoms. Conclusion: Percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)for the treatment of osteoporosis Kummell's disease can significantly improve the pain symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients with long-term efficacy and good prognosis.
