Objective: To evaluate the predictive value of blood routine parameters before radiotherapy and during radiotherapy on the prognosis of breast cancer. Methods: Retrospective study included 150 patients with breast cancer postoperative radiotherapy at the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from January2007 to December 2013.All patients had blood tests before and during radiotherapy. The quartile method was used to calculate the cut-off values for platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),platelet before radiotherapy and percentage decrease in parameters.Kaplan-Meier method was used to obtain 5-year DFS and OS,Log-rank method for univariate analysis and Cox regression model for multivariate analysis.P <0.05 represents a statistically significant. Results: The cut-off value was the 25 th,50th and 75 th percentile blood parameters.Among the 150 patients,N staging, clinical stage,ER,PR,HER2,PLR before radiotherapy were not statistically significant in univariate analysis of DFS.In multivariate analysis,Ki67 and PLR remains statistical significance.During radiotherapy,122 patients showed a decreasing trend in platelets.Among these 122 patients,T stage,N stage and percentage decrease in platelet during radiotherapy were significantly associated with breast cancer radiotherapy DFS.In ? 40 years old subgroup,PLR before radiotherapy was not independent prognostic factors for breast cancer DFS.But percentage decrease in PLR ? 25.44% during radiotherapy was independent adverse prognostic factors for breast cancer DFS.In T0-2 subgroup, percentage decrease in platelet <18.72% was independent adverse prognostic factor for breast cancer DFS.Conclusion: During radiotherapy, percentage decrease in platelet was independent prognostic factor for breast cancer radiotherapy DFS.In ?40 years old subgroup,PLR before radiotherapy and percentage decrease in PLR were independent prognostic factor for breast cancer DFS.In T0-2 subgroup, percentage decrease in platelet was independent prognostic factor for breast cancer DFS.PLR and platelet before radiotherapy were not associated with the prognosis of breast cancer.
