Objective: This study is designed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese-translated versions of the endometriosis health profile 5(EHP-5)used in patients with pathologically proven endometriosis.Study design: A total of 102 patients with pathologically proven endometriosis complete the questionnaire are required in cross-sectional study.50 patients are required in the other study before and after treatment. These study were conducted between July2016-July 2017,the reliability and internal consistency were assessed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient.Creteria validity is assessed with EHP-5 and EQ-5D.Symptoms significance test was derived from Mann-Whitney U test.Component analyse indicates the main items which effect the total scores the most.Responsibility of EHP-5 from evaluating HRQoL of patients was derived from t test.Result : Both Reliability analysis and internal consistency showed satisfactory result(Cronbach's alpha coefficient >0.8)in these two research. The correlations of related subscale scores between EHP-5 and EQ-5D-3L were significant in few dimensions(P<0.01).Significant differences showed in patients with dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia(P<0.1).As for evaluating HRQoL of patients before and after treatment,EHP-5 showed great responsibility(P<0.01).Component analyse shows that the first component contribute the most in total scores, especially in these items:control &powerlessness?social support?and emotion. Conclusions: The Chinese version of EHP-5 is an acceptable, reliable and valid measure of quality of life in endometriosis patients. However,it does not discriminate well between subgroup of people with infertility and menstrual disorder.
