Objective To investigate the effects of Babxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction on blood pressure,blood lipid,MDA content and SOD,GHS-Px activity in Excessive Phlegm-dampness Type Hypertensive rats,and the possible hypotensive mechanism of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction was explored by oxidative stress.Methods 110male Sprague-Dawley rats of 3 weeks old were enrolled.Ten randomly selected groups were set as blank group,and the remaining 100 were used to establish an animal model of phlegm-dampness hypertensive rats according to the modeling method in Chen Tengyi's experiment.After modeling for 20 weeks,51 rats with successful modeling were randomly divided into 5 groups:11 in the model group,10in the high-dose group of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction,and the dose in Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction.There were 10 rats in the low-dose group of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction and 10 in the captopril group.Ten rats in the blank group randomly selected before modeling were set as blank group.The high,middle and low dose groups of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction were administered by intragastric administration with the suspension of bio-medicine prepared by distilled water,respectively,The drug-containing content of the crude drug was 28.16g·kg-1·d-1,14.08g·kg-1·d-1,7.04g·kg-1·d-1,respectively,In captopril group,the suspension of crude drug was administered by gavage with distilled water.The content of crude drug was 2.63g·kg-1·d-1.In model group and blank group,the same volume of converted distilled water was administered by gavage.All rats were killed after 8weeks.Serum lipids,MDA content and SOD,GSH-Px activity were measured.The changes of blood pressure,body weight and body length were measured and the general morphological changes were observed during gastric lavage.The changes were recorded once a week.Result?1?Establishment of the model:After 20 weeks,51 rats met the success criteria of the model.The success rate of the model was 51%,indicating the success of the model.?2?General morphological conditions:After 8weeks of different interventions,the general morphology of high and medium dose groups of traditional Chinese medicine was closest to the normal state.Compared with the different dosage groups of traditional Chinese medicine,the general morphological improvement effect of captopril group was not good,but better than that of model group.?3?Length,weight,Lee's index and blood pressure:The length of the rats before and after modeling increased,and there was no significant difference between the groups?P>0.05?.Compared with the blank group,the weight of rats in each group increased significantly?P<0.01?.After drug intervention,compared with the model group,the weight of rats in captopril group and high and medium dose groups of Chinese medicine decreased significantly?P<0.05 or P<0.01?.The weight loss of rats in high and medium dose groups of Chinese medicine was better than that of captopril group.Compared with the model group,there was no significant difference in Lee's index among the administration groups?P>0.05?.Compared with the blank group,the systolic and diastolic blood pressures in the model group increased significantly?P<0.01?.Compared with the model group,the systolic and diastolic blood pressures of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction group and captopril group decreased?P<0.05 or P<0.01?,while the effect of high dose group and captopril group was the most significant?P<0.01?,but there was no significant difference between the two groups?P>0.05?.?4?Blood lipid:After 8 weeks of intervention,TC,TG and LDL-C in model group were significantly higher than those in blank group?P<0.01?.Compared with the model group,TC,TG and LDL-C in the high and middle dose groups were significantly decreased?P<0.05 or P<0.01?,and the lowest was found in the high dose group?P<0.01?.In terms of HDL-C,there was no significant difference between the treatment groups and the model group?P>0.05?.?5?GSH-Px,SOD and MDA:Compared with the blank group,the activity of SOD and GHS-PX in the model group decreased significantly?P<0.01?,and the content of MDA increased significantly?P<0.01?.Compared with the model group,SOD and GHS-PX activities were increased in the high and middle dose groups of traditional Chinese medicine and captopril groups?P<0.01?.In MDA,the high,medium and low dose groups and captopril groups all decreased the content of MDA,with significant difference?P<0.01?,and the high dose group had the most significant effect?P<0.01?.Conclusion 1 Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction has the effect of reducing blood pressure in rats with high blood pressure.2 Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction has the effects of increasing SOD,GHS-Px activity and reducing MDA content.3 Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction can effectively remove excess oxygen free radicals and prevent lipid peroxidation of vascular endothelial cells,thereby improving endothelial function in patients.4 improve the body's antioxidant capacity,while reducing body weight,improve blood lipids,these may be the antihypertensive mechanism of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Tang.
