?Purpose?Through constituent ratios analysis of the clinical and pathological data of 926 cases of orbital tumor diseases in Hunan Province in the past 10 years, the composition and distribution of orbital tumors in Hunan area are discussed, and compared with similar domestic and foreign research results,it is helpful for ophthalmologists to understand the clinical incidence and regional characteristics of common orbital tumor diseases in hunan, provide reference data for relevant professional ophthalmologists in Hunan, enhance understanding and the diagnosis accuracy of orbital tumor;provide assistance for related institutions and departments to carry out disease statistics and formulate prevention and treatment strategies and measures for orbital tumor diseases.?Objective ?Retrospective analysis of 926 cases of orbital tumors counted by Hunan Provincial People's Hospital ? Xiangya Hospital of Central South University ? The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Chenzhou NO.1 People's Hospital from January 2009 to February 2018,all cases included in the study are treated with orbital tumor resection after admission, histopathological diagnosis is made after operation, and clear pathological results are obtained.According to the international standard Shields[1,2] classification method, the pathological diagnosis of 926 patients is classified, the histological classification of various lesions is statistically analyzed, the histological classification of benign and malignant tumors is analyzed, and the age distribution characteristics are analyzed to find the rules.?Results ?Among the 926 cases of orbital tumors in this study,246 cases of vascularized lesions ranked first, accounting for 26.0% of the total cases(including 141 cases of cavernous hemangioma, accounting for 15.2% of the total vascularized lesions cases).Followed by cystic lesions and inflammatory lesions, accounting for 25.2% and 13.4%,respectively.Among the 926 cases of orbital tumors,83.4% were benign and 16.6% were malignant. The top five benign tumors are vascular lesions(31.1%),cystic lesions(30.3%),inflammatory lesions(16.0%),neurogenic lesions(6.7%)and lacrimal duct lesions(6.0%).Among 154 cases of orbital malignancies, hematopoietic lymphoid lesion was the first, accounting for 41.6%,lacrimal organ malignancy 14.3%,neurogenic lesion 11.0%,metastatic tumor and fibrous tissue lesion both accounted for 6.5%.The proportion of benign tumors is the highest in children and adolescents, and the proportion of malignant tumors is the highest in the elderly.Dermoid cyst is the most common benign lesion in children and adolescents, accounting for 40.7%.Cavernous hemangioma is the most common benign lesion in young,middle-aged and old age groups, accounting for 17.3%,18.2% and 18.0%,respectively.Rhabdomyosarcoma(2.9%)is the most common malignant lesion in children and adolescents, and nonhodgkin's lymphoma is the most common malignant lesion in young,middle-aged and old age groups, accounting for 3.7%,8.2% and 13.3%,respectively.The two peaks of age distribution occurred in the 0-5 age group and the 51-55 age group, among which the 0-5 age group has the largest number of 114 cases(12.3%),and the 86-90 age group has the least number of patients(0 cases).?Conclusions ?The most common histological type of orbital tumors in Hunan in the past decade is vascularized lesions, although its constituent ratio is 26.0%,which is lower than the 33.23-46.5% reported by Yao Jing [7],Yan Xiaolin [8],He Yanjin [12]anf Sun Hongxia[13],it still ranked first in the incidence of orbital tumors in Hunan. The proportion of benign and malignant tumors in the past ten years in Hunan and the histological types are consistent with domestic research reports. The most common benign orbital tumor is cavernous hemangioma, and the most common malignant orbital tumor is non-hodgkin lymphoma. The most common benign orbital tumors in children and adolescents in Hunan Province in the past 10 years are dermoid cysts and epidermoid cysts, accounting for 66.4%,which is higher than the 55.6% reported by Bi Yingwen et al [23].Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common malignant lesion among children and adolescents in hunan in the past decade, with a constituent ratio of 2.9%,which is lower than 9.6% reported by Bi Yingwen et al[23].
