Objective: To understand the management training needs and current situation of the directors of the township hospitals in China,to find out their weak links in the management work,to establish a scientific and reasonable management training program,and to put forward implementation strategies.Method: After reviewing much literature,this study analyzes the role of the dean of the township hospital through the management role theory of Henry Mintzberg and then adopts the combination of the method of the questionnaire survey and in-depth interview to conduct an in-depth investigation in the the township hospital's deans/deputy deans,workers and administrative staff of health and family planning,and finally use SPSS19.0statistical analysis results.Result: Performance management(accounting for 49%)is the weakest one in the management work of township hospitals' presidents.At this stage,most township hospitals' presidents once participated in 1 to 5 times of training on management knowledge(accounting for 56.1%),but the current management training still can't meet the needs of the presidents' management positions in terms of quantity and quality.In the past training,the main problems were too short time(accounting for 62.2%)and lack of practice(accounting for 56.5%).In terms of training needs,the presidents of the township hospitals think that public health service management(4.08),medical quality control and safety management(4.07),performance appraisal(4.07),management of township hospitals in management knowledge(4.29)performance management theory and practice(4.14),leadership methodology and art(4.06),and leadership(4.19),Innovation(4.16),and Incentive(4.15)training needs scores in management are ranked in the top three.In terms of training time,it tends to be short-term training within one month(accounting for46.3%).In terms of training format,it is expected that the off-the-job training,half-offjob training,and on-the-job training will respectively account for 31.5%,28%,and 39.6%,respectively.In terms of teaching methods,most presidents hope to focus on case teaching(accounting for 83.49%).Conclusion: 1)There is a gap between the quality level of the president of the hospital and the management posts.There are some misunderstandings in the concept of training.The training content can not meet the needs of many parties,and the training form is rigid.2)Combining the actual management work status and needs of township hospitals and starting from the three aspects of training content,training form and training management,a scientific and reasonable management training program has been established and systematic management training has been carried out to improve the ability.3)In order to further ensure that the training results are truly implemented,a series of implementation strategies are put forward to ensure the sustainable development of hospital president management training.Figure 4;Table 22;Reference 83.
