Bacterial liver abscess(BLA)is a local suppurative infection caused by the invasion of pyogenic bacteria into the liver.Studies have shown that liver abscess accounts for about 48.00% of visceral abscess,and the incidence of BLA is as high as 80.00% of liver abscess.In recent years,people's lifestyle and diet structure have undergone significant changes,the prevalence of diabetes is increasing year by year.Diabetes mellitus is a susceptible factor of infection,easy concurrent BLA,the risk is 3.6 times as high as that of non-diabetic patients,and there is a tendency of increasing,diabetes mellitus becomes a concomitant factor and / or an independent factor;however,the clinical symptoms and signs of diabetic patients with BLA are often not typical,easy to leak?misdiagnosed,leading to delay in treatment,should be attached great importance.In recent decades,major changes have taken place in the etiology?diagnosis?bacteriology?treatment and prognosis of liver abscess.Based on this,this article combines domestic and foreign literature,the clinical characteristics?diagnosis and treatment of diabetic patients with BLA in China were reviewed.
