| Objective : To summarize the clinical features of bacterial liver abscess complicated with type 2 diabetes mellitus and study the effect of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treated Patients with Bacterial Liver Abscess with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.Methods:40 cases of Bacterial Liver Abscess with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus were selected during April 2011 to June 2015.Their data of clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,imaging studies,treatment and prognosis were analyzed.Results: 1.All the patients had male 26 cases,female 14 cases,aged 30 to 80 years old,the average(59.28±11.78)years old.All patients had fever,18 cases with nausea,28 patients with anorexia;26 patients with liver pain and 33 patients with percussion pain in liver area.the average of blood glucose was(14.95± 5.65)mmol/L,HbA1 c was(9.12 + 2.44)%;all patients underwent bacterial culture(blood and / or pus),the blood culture in 24 cases,6 cases were positive,4 cases were Klebsiella pneumonia,2 cases Escherichia coli,pus culture in 16 cases,of which 5 were positive,3 cases were Klebsiella pneumoniae,Escherichia coli in 1 cases,1 cases of Staphylococcus aureus.Imaging examination of 27 cases of liver abscess in right lobe tips,the size of the cavity was 2.0cm * 1.8cm ~ 11.8cm * 8.8cm.2.In western medicine group the total efficiency was 85%,the integrative medicine group was95%,The average hospitalization time of western medicine control group was(18.45±5.23)days,integrative medicine group was(13.30±3.36)days.Conclusion: 1.Patients with bacterial liver abscess with diabetes most were the elderly;high proportion of occult infection;clinical manifestation untypical;most poor glycemic control,poor nutritional status;the positive rate of bacterial culture was low,Klebsiella pneumoniae were more;most abscess in the right lobe 2.The effect of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treated Patients with Bacterial Liver Abscess with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is significant. |
