Study On The Depression Reports From The Perspective Of Framework Theory

With the acceleration of the pace of life and the intensification of social conflicts,people's mental health problems have gradually become serious.In recent years,the media has frequently mentioned depression.From the perspective of communication,the mass media showed depression and its patients,which will affect the public's understanding of the disease and affect the image of people with depression in the public.News websites are important channels for people to obtain information,and they play a big role in building people's understanding of depression.However,some media have now reported inappropriate reports of depression,presenting a wrong image of a depressed patient.This will not only affect the patients with depression,but also shape the stereotype of this group,leading to public misunderstanding and discrimination against this group,and aggravating the social pressure on patients with depression.Therefore,analyzing the problems of new media in the report of depression has important significance in promoting the healthy transmission of depression,eliminating stereotypes of patients with depression,and relieving the pressure of patients with depression.Framework theory believes that the news framework is a specific principle of the media in the selection and processing of news,it will inevitably exist.It significantly affects audience perception,understanding and response.Because of the role of framework in shaping audience perception,this paper analyzes the characteristics of depression reports and the image characteristics of depression patients displayed by domestic news websites from the framework theory.This paper mainly uses content analysis method,text analysis method and other research methods to analyze the recent reports on depression in Xinhua website and Sina website.By summarizing 729 samples,we found their reporting characteristics and the characteristics of the framework used.At the same time,we identified the problems and proposed corresponding suggestions,hoping to supervise the improvement of the new media website in the report of depression.This paper mainly elaborates from four parts.The first part mainly explains the research background,research status,research purpose and research significance of this paper,and introduces the research methods used in this paper.The second part mainly introduces the research design of this paper.The research objects were identified and related category construction was carried out.The third part is the core part of this paper.This article selects the recent reports of depression in Xinhua website and Sina website,and uses 729 reports as samples.At the same time,this paper refers to the framework theory of Taiwanese scholars such as Zang Guoren and others.The study divided the framework of depression reporting into high,medium and low levels for stereo analysis.This study finds that China's news websites have problems such as insufficient accuracy and lack of source in the report,which is not conducive to the formation of a correct and comprehensive understanding of depression.The news website lacks sufficient care and compassion for people with depression and lacks humanistic care.In the shaping of the image of patients with depression,this paper finds that the image of depression patients shaped by news websites is too negative,which can easily lead to stereotypes and stigma of patients with depression.These problems in the processing of the reporting framework of the media will affect the formation of correct understanding of depression,and even deepen the audience's misunderstanding of the disease itself and depressed patients,and worsen the living environment of patients with depression.In the fourth part,this paper puts forward some suggestions based on the above problems and the areas that are not perfect.I hope that the new media website can report more comprehensive and in-depth depression on depression related reports.At the same time,the mass news website should stand in a more reasonable position and give more humanistic care to people with depression,so that the public can have correct knowledge of depression and depression patients,thereby reducing the pressure of public opinion on depression patients and improving the living environment of depression patients.
