Clinical Observation Of Xiebaiwendan Decoction In The Treatment Of Acute Bronchitis In Children With Phlegm-heat And Lung-Retention Syndrome

Objective:To observe the effect of Xiebai Wendan Decoction on clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score and single symptom score of children with acute bronchitis(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome).To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Xiebai Wendan Decoction in the treatment of acute bronchitis in children.Methods:64 children with acute bronchitis who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 32 cases in each group.The experimental group was treated with Xiebai Wendan Decoction,while the control group was treated with Xiaoer Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid.Both groups were treated for 7 days.The total effective rate of the two groups and the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs before and after treatment were observed.Results:Among the 64 children included in the criteria,1 case fell off in the treatment group,2 cases in the control group,31 cases in the final treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.1.Chi-square test and nonparametric rank sum test showed that there was no significant difference in age and sex between the two groups(P>0.05).2.After 7 days of treatment,the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine decoction in treatment group was 93.55%,while that of traditional Chinese medicine in control group was 76.67%.It showed that Xiebai Wendan Decoction group was better than Xiaoer Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid group in the treatment of this disease,and there was significant difference in statistics(P<0.05).3.Comparing the changes of main and secondary symptoms and total scores before and after treatment in each group,the data of the two groups were different before and after treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05).It shows that Xiebai Wendan Decoction and Xiaoer Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid can improve the main and secondary symptoms of children's acute bronchitis(phlegm-heat accumulation-lung syndrome).4.Comparing the improvement of cough,expectoration and lung rale between the two groups,there was significant difference(P<0.05).It showed that Xiebai Wendan Decoction group was superior to Xiaoer Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid group in relieving cough,sputum symptoms and lung rale signs(P<0.05)Conclusion:1.Xiebai Wendan Decoction has a remarkable effect in treating children with acute bronchitis with phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome,which is obviously superior to Xiaoer Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid2.Xiebai Wendan Decoction is superior to Qingfei Huatan Oral Liquid in improving cough,expectoration and lung rales of phlegm-heat obstruction syndrome in children with acute bronchitis3.Xiebai Wendan Decoction is safe and reliable in treating infantile acute bronchitis with phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome.
