ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between TCM syndromes and personality characteristics of abnormal uterine bleeding due to ovulation disorder and related pathogenic factors,so as to provide some reference basis and new ideas for the prevention and treatment of this disease in the future.MethodSelected 133 AUB-O patients who met the diagnostic criteria of anovulatory abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB-O)and 120 women who had normal serum sex hormone levels and normal menstrual pattern, menstruation, quantity, color and quality in Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Chengdu Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and filled in the "Syndrome of Traditional Chinese Medicine" by face-to-face questionnaire.Type I questionnaire and Big Five Personality Scale(Simple Edition). The two groups of data collected were entered into Excel to form the original database, and the initial statistics, frequency distribution and scale production were carried out.SPSS 24.0 was used for analysis.ResultsThe following preliminary conclusions were drawn from this group of cases and this investigation.(1)The Chinese medicine syndromes of AUB-O patients can be classified into five types, among which the number of liver depression and blood stasis witnesses is the largest, accounting for 26.3%,followed by kidney yin deficiency with damp-heat syndrome(24.1%),spleen and kidney deficiency syndrome(18.8%),kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome(17.3%)and liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome(13.5%).(2)In the survey of Big Five Personality Questionnaire, there were significant differences in neuroticism, rigor and extroversion personality between AUB-O patients and control group(P<0.05).AUB-O patients had higher neuroticism and rigor scores, while the control group had higher extroversion personality scores.(3)There were significant differences between different TCM syndromes and endometrial thickness(P < 0.05).Double-layerendometrial thickness(< 0.5 cm)was more common in Spleen-Kidney Deficiency syndrome,0.6-1.0 cm was more common in kidney-yin deficiency with Damp-heat syndrome, and > 1.1 cm was more common in liver stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.(4)There were significant differences in the distribution of different personality types and TCM syndromes among AUB-O patients(P < 0.05).Neuroticism is mainly liver depression and blood stasis syndrome(50%);extroversion is liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome(37.5%)and kidney yin deficiency with damp-heat syndrome(29.2%);opening is kidney yin deficiency with damp-heat syndrome(30.8%);compliance is mainly spleen and kidney deficiency syndrome(47.8%);rigorous is kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome(41.0%).(5)There were significant differences in sleep time, daily stress, pregnancy frequency, abortion frequency and body mass index(BMI)between AUB-O patients and control group(P< 0.05),and no significant differences in menarche age and occupation(P >0.05).(6)Of 133 patients with AUB-O,80 were the first(60.2%)and 53 were relapsed(39.8%).Among the recurrent patients,24(45.3%)had been curettage and 29(54.7%)had not been curettage.ConclusionThe following preliminary conclusions were drawn from this group of cases and this investigation:(1)Stress,sleep too late, more pregnancies and abortions, and high BMI were the influencing factors of AUB-O.(2)The main TCM syndromes of AUB-O patients are liver depression and spleen deficiency, kidney yin deficiency with dampness and heat, liver depression and blood stasis, spleen and kidney deficiency and blood stasis.(3)Most of AUB-O patients have rigorous and neurotic personality characteristics.(4)In AUB-O patients, different personality characteristics are correlated with TCM syndromes, liver depression and blood stasis are correlated with neurotic personality, spleen and kidney deficiency are correlated with agreeable personality, kidney deficiency and blood stasis are correlated with rigorous personality, kidney yin deficiency with damp-heat syndrome is correlated with extroversion and open personality.
