| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of simple longitudinal transverse suture in the treatment of chronic anal fissure and evaluate its safety by anorectal manometry.Methods: Sixty patients with chronic anal fissure who met the inclusion criteria from March 20 to January 2019 in the Department of Anorectal Surgery,Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College were randomly divided into two groups.The observation group was treated with simple longitudinal transverse suture and he control group was treated with anal fissure resection.Comparison of postoperative outcomes,operative time,length of hospital stay,and postoperative complications such as pain,bleeding,and urinary retention and recurrences.The anorectal manometry was used to evaluate the safety of the two procedures.Results: simple longitudinal transverse suture and anal fissure resection were effective in the treatment of chronic anal fissures,and both groups achieved a 100% cure rate.The observation group was superior to the control group in hospitalization time,postoperative anal pain and bleeding,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The control group was superior to the observation group in the operation time,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in postoperative infection,urinary retention,edema,anal stenosis,anal incontinence and recurrence(P<0.05).The postoperative anal canal resting pressure of observation group was lower than that of the control group,but it was still at a normal level.It was evaluated by anorectal manometry that both procedures did not damage the anal function and the safety was good.Conclusion: Simple longitudinal transverse suture is effective in the treatment of chronic anal fissure.It has the advantages of short hospital stay,less postoperative pain,less bleeding,and easy operation.It can be used as one of the routine treatments for chronic anal fissure. |
