Objiective:By collecting symptoms, signs and tongue pulse of 99 patients with left and right colon cancer, the differences of TCM position and syndrome elements were analyzed, and the relationship between them and relevant influencing factors was explored,so as to provide reference and exploration direction for further study on the differences between left and right colon cancer and subsequent TCM treatment. Methods:Left and right colon cancer patients in the department of abdominal oncology of the affiliated hospital of chengdu university of Traditional Chinese Medicine and West China Hospital of Sichuan University were selected as the research objects. All patients were diagnosed with colon cancer.A unified "table of general conditions and syndrome and element information of left and right colon cancer patients" was developed to collect standardized four diagnostic data of patients, and the age, gender, first symptoms, pathological type, clinical staging and treatment methods of patients were recorded in detail.A database was established to analyze the difference of TCM syndrome elements between left and right colon cancer and the relationship between them and relevant factors.Results:1.Disease position element:left half colonic cancer is large intestine, ienal, kidney, liver, right half colonic cancer is liver, large intestine, kidney;Pathogenic factors: the pathogenic factors of left colon cancer mainly include qi deficiency, dampness, blood stasis,Yang deficiency and heat. The main syndromes of right colon cancer are blood deficiency,qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,qi stagnation and dampness.2.Smoking history: the disease of left colon cancer patients is mainly qi deficiency and blood stasis. The main syndromes of right colon cancer are blood deficiency,qi deficiency.History of drinking: dampness and blood stasis were common in patients with left colon cancer.the pathogenic factors of right coloncancer mainly include blood deficiency and qi deficiency.3.The first symptom of patients with left colon cancer was the change of blood and stool, the spleen and large intestine were the main disease sites, and dampness, blood stasis and heat were common. The first symptom of right colon cancer patients was abdominal distension, abdominal pain and appetite loss.4.Patients with left colon cancer have more heat in stage ?,more dampness and stasis in stage ?,more qi-deficiency and dampness in stage ?,and more qi-deficiency and yang-deficiency in stage ?.In patients with right hemicolon cancer,qi stagnation was predominant in stage ?,qi stagnation and dampness were common in stage ?,qi stagnation and qi deficiency were predominant in stage ?,and blood deficiency and Yang deficiency were most common in stage ?.Conclusion:1.There are differences between left and right colon cancer syndromes. They are mostly intermingled deficiency and excess, patients with left colon cancer are mostly mixed with excess syndromes, while patients with right colon cancer are mainly mixed with deficiency syndrome.2.The history of tobacco and alcohol affects the distribution of syndrome elements in left and right colon cancer.3.On the left is Yang duoshi, the right is Yin yi xu;on the first symptom: wet,hot and blood stasis were common in patients with left colon cancer, while blood deficiency and Yang deficiency were almostly in patients with right colon cancer.4.The early stage of colon cancer,There are more excess syndrome, the common syndrome elements in the left colon cancer are dampness and blood, while more qi stagnation and dampness on the right side.We shuold fight against disease. In the later stage, the deficiency syndrome is the main one,the common syndrome elements in the left colon cancer are qi deficiency, and yang deficiency, while the right half colon cancer patients have more blood deficiency,qi deficiency and Yang deficiency.
