Objective:To understand the epidemiological situation of pruritus in healthy people born in Shijiazhuang from 1990 to 1995,to explore its possible risk factors and to provide reference for health education and disease control in people with itching. Methods:Questionnaires were randomly selected from healthy family members of the dermatology clinic of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University. The data was entered by EXCEL,SPSS21.0 software was used for statistical analysis and related factors were analyzed by logistic regression. Results:A total of 678 questionnaires were collected and 660 questionnaires were returned,of which 361 were eligible. There were 64 cases of itching, the prevalence rate was 17.72%,including 16 males, accounting for17.6%,and 48 females, accounting for 17.8%.There was no significant difference in the prevalence of male and female(?~2=0.002,P>0.05).Logistic single factor regression analysis showed that drinking, stress,no breakfast, eating spicy food, dry skin and desquamation were statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that it may be related to the occurrence of itching. However, excessive cleaning is a recognized risk factor associated with itching.Considering the small sample size and its possible interaction with dry skin desquamation, the excessive cleaning is combined with the above statistically significant single factor.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that drinking, stress, eating spicy food, dry skin and desquamation, and excessive cleaning were risk factors for itching. Conclusions:People who love to drink alcohol, eat spicy food, have high pressure, have dry skin and desquamation, and bathe too frequently are more likely to have itchy skin.
