In recent years, the contradictions between the people's growing medical needs and the relatively backward and imbalanced medical level have become more and more prominent due to the relatively backward medical system reform, uneven distribution of medical resources, backward hospital management mode, and the misleading by some irresponsible media's prejudice report. At the meantime, doctors in many large hospitals are severely overworked and the quality of medical services is deteriorating, which lead to increasingly intense doctor-patient relations.Conflicts between care providers and patients often occur during clinical practice.Different from other disciplines, clinical medicine is a high-technology,high-risk and high-exploration discipline. However, under the condition that the public does not have a comprehensive understanding of clinical medicine, patients have high expectations on care providers—— "to remove the disease immediately and bring death back to life".High expectations also mean high disappointment. In particular, when patients or their family members are dissatisfied with the service attitude of the hospital, conflicts between doctors and patients may occur, and even violent injuries may occur. In 2016,a serious injury occurred in a level III public hospital in China.A chief physician was stabbed by his patient more than 20 times which caused his death. This violent issue has aroused wide concern of the whole society and great attention of government departments, which has brought heavy mental burden to medical staff and aggravated trust gap between doctors and patients. From the perspective of medical staff, they are engaged in a high-technology,high-commitment,high-risk occupation.Overload physical and mental efforts should have an adequate payback and considerable social respect. However, incomprehension of patients,doctor-patient conflicts, even violent medical injuries, and unilateral social evaluation reduce the personal sense of honor and sense of achievement of medical staff, and make them doubt the meaning of work, leading to job burnout. In turn, the professional burnout of doctors will lead to the decline of medical service quality, further aggravate the tension between doctors and patients, and fall into a vicious circle.Through case analysis, literature research, survey study and other research methods, and by using questionnaire, observation, interview, statistical analysis and other research techniques,my thesis deeply analyzes the impact of hospital workplace violent events on doctors' job burnout and the countermeasures to deal with it(especially the job burnout after workplace violent). The main countermeasures are as follows: accelerate medical reform to improve doctor-patient relationship and reduce workplace violence;strengthen hospital management to improve patient satisfaction;improve the emergency handling mechanism of violent cases and reduce the negative impact;Pay attention to the construction of hospital culture and improve doctors' job satisfaction.
