ObjectiveThrough a questionnaire survey on the current status of nocturia in children in Taiyuan,we can understand the current prevalence of children in this area and the factors related to the disease, and provide evidence for the scientific management and supervision of children in the city.MethodsChildren aged 5-18 in Yingze District,Xiaodian District and primary and secondary schools were randomly selected as subjects. The prevalence of nocturia and its related factors were investigated by anonymous questionnaire.ResultsA total of 3,000 questionnaires were distributed and 2,597 valid questionnaires were collected. The prevalence rate of enuresis was 1.3%,1.9% for men and 2.1% for women. The nocturia rate was 5.6%,6.3% for men and 4.9% for women. The prevalence rate decreased with age, with the highest prevalence at 5-6 years of age.The following factors increase the risk of nocturia: weekly stool less than 3 ti mes[OR=0.02,95%CI(0.00-0.07),P<0.05],wet underwear during the day[OR=0.05,95%CI(0.01-0.22),P<0.05],frequent urination, urine pain and interruption of urination[OR=0.33,95%CI(0.13-0.81),P<0.05].Age decreased the risk of nocturia: age[OR=1.34,95%CI(1.09-1.66),P<0.05];The following factors increase the risk of having enuresis:the educational level of the parents[OR=0.54,95%CI(0.31-0.95),P<0.05],weekly stool less than 3 times[O R = 0.003,95%CI(0.00-0.01),P<0.05],wet underwear during the day[OR=0.06,95%C I(0.01-0.23),P<0.05],frequent urination, urine pain and interruption of urination[OR=0.19,95%CI(0.07-0.5),P<0.05],drinking water before bedtime[OR=0.34,95%CI(0.1-0.6),P<0.05].Age decreased the risk of having enuresis: age[OR=1.32,95%CI(1.2-1.46),P<0.05].Conclusion:1.The prevalence of enuresis in children aged 5-18 years in Taiyuan City is 1.3%,and the nocturia rate is 5.6%,which is lower than the current domestic and international survey data.2.The prevalence of nocturia in children in this area showed a downward trend with age,and increased slightly in the early stage of puberty. This suggests that we should advocate parental companionship during this period, pay attention to children's emotional training, and timely discover and alleviate bad emotions.3.The diagnosis rate of children with nocturia in Taiyuan is low,and the degree of attention still needs to be improved. This suggests that in the future clinical work,we should vigorously carry out the mission of the disease, actively avoid risk factors, strengthen the prevention and intervention of children's enuresis, and better improve the quality of life of children with enuresis.
