Qualitative Research On The Development Status And Dilemma Of The Medical-aged Care Combined Institutions In Taiyuan City

Objective:With the aging population of Taiyuan City becoming more severe and the persistence of geriatric diseases,the demand for medical services and the need for old-age care for the elderly are not effectively met.At present,several institutions in Taiyuan City have carried out medical-aged care combined services.This paper on the basis of the current situation research,explore the dilemma faced by the medical-aged care combined services institutions in Taiyuan City,and analyze its causes and solutions.To promote the organic integration of "medical" and "caring" services,and make suggestions for the use of limited resources to solve the problem of "separation of medical-aged care".Methods:For a better study of the development status and the dilemma of the medical-aged care combined institutions,this paper based on the analysis of the four-characteristic pension model in Taiyuan City by SWOT analysis,surveyed more than ten medical-aged care combined institutions in Taiyuan City,and selected four institutions conducted in-depth research.The comparative analysis of institutional occupancy,personnel composition,cost standards,and service content were carried out.Afterwards,using the interview method and the note-taking method to obtained the first-hand interview data of the relevant groups of the medical-aged care combined institutions in Taiyuan City,and used NVivo10 software to analyze the qualitative data.Results:As a result,the current sitiuation of each case of "spiritual specialist hospitals to support the elderly" "general hospitals to support the elderly" "the old-age care institutions to run medical care" "medical and care complex" are different.And it is found that the there are many problems in medical-aged care combined institutions in Taiyuan.Such as: the industry policy level,the organization management level,actual development level of medical-aged care combined services,and audience awareness and needs level.Conclusion:In the medical-aged care combined institutions in Taiyuan City,due to the different nature of the subjects,the development dilemmas faced by the institutions have certaincommonalities and differences.For this,the government departments should improve the policy system and preserve industry order.The institutions should update the organization's operating philosophy and improve the service process,strengthen the training of professional talents,optimize the service quality and starting from the needs of the audience to promote the idea of healthy retirement.Finally,forms a joint force to promote the development of the medical-aged care combined institutions in Taiyuan City.
