Investigation On The Current Status Of Health Literacy Of Residents In Chaozhou City In 2018 And Analysis Of Influencing Factors

ObjectiveUnderstand the status of health literacy for residents aged 15 to 69 in Chaozhou City in 2018,analyze the factors affecting the health literacy level of residents with different sociodemographic characteristics,find out the targets and weak links that need to be targeted,and formulate health promotion policies and measures for the government and health departments.Provide reasonable reference for the rational and effective allocation of health resources,and then adjust the direction of health promotion to improve and improve the health literacy level of residents.MethodsIn this study,the stratified multi-stage random sampling method was used to select urban residents aged 15 to 69 years old in Chaoan District,Xiangqiao District,Fengxi District,Fengquan Lake High-tech Zone and Raoping County of Chaozhou City,Guangdong Province.The “National Residents’ Health Literacy Monitoring Questionnaire” prepared by the whole country was used for household survey.The planned sample size was 4554 and the effective qualified questionnaire was 4319.The effective recovery rate of the questionnaire was 94.8%.The database was built using Epidata 3.1 software and data was double-entered.The data was statistically analyzed with SPSS 17.0,including descriptive statistical analysis,chi-square test and multi-factor logistic regression analysis.Result(1)The overall health literacy level(capacity rate)of Chaozhou residents was 19.1%.Among the three dimensions of health literacy,the basic knowledge and concept level(capacity rate)was 25.2%,the healthy lifestyle and behavior level(capacity rate)was 16.4%,and the health skill level(capacity rate)was 18.9%.Among the six types of health problems,the scientific health concept literacy level(capacity rate)was 30.7%,the infectious disease literacy level(capacity rate)was 20.0%,and the chronic disease prevention and literacy level(capacity rate)was 13.3%.Safety and first aid literacy level(The rate of possession was 27.6%,the basic medical literacy level(capacity rate)was 22.7%,and the health information literacy level(capacity rate)was 23.6%.(2)Health literacy level,three dimensions of health literacy,and six types of health literacy results of Chaozhou residents generally show that the health literacy levels of the 15-24 and 25-34 age groups are the highest,and the medical staff are professional.The level of health literacy is the highest,the level of health literacy of unmarried residents is the highest,and the level of health literacy of residents with annual income of ≥100,000 is the highest.(3)Among the factors affecting the overall health literacy of residents in Chaozhou City,from the results of univariate analysis,age,marital status,education level,occupation,family size,annual household income and area are the influencing factors;It can be seen that the degree of education,occupation,annual household income and region are the influencing factors.Among the influencing factors of basic knowledge and ideas,from the results of univariate analysis,gender,age,marital status,education level,occupation,family size,annual household income and region are the influencing factors;The results show that age,education level,occupation,family size,annual household income and region are the influencing factors.Among the factors affecting healthy lifestyles and behaviors,from the results of univariate analysis,gender,age,marital status,education level,occupation,annual household income and region are the influencing factors;the results of multivariate analysis can be seen Out,education level,occupation,annual family income and region are the influencing factors.Among the factors affecting health skills,from the results of univariate analysis,gender,age,marital status,education level,occupation,family size,annual household income and region are the influencing factors;the results from multi-factor analysis can It can be seen that age,education level,occupation,annual household income and region are the influencing factors.Residents of different health conditions have statistically significant differences in health literacy,basic knowledge and ideas,healthy lifestyles and behaviors,and health skills.Conclusion(1)The overall health literacy level of Chaozhou residents is higher than the national average literacy level.The health literacy levels of Chaozhou residents in different regions are quite different.(2)There are differences in the literacy levels of residents in the three dimensions and six types of health problems.Compared with the literacy rate of basic knowledge and ideas,the literacy rate of healthy lifestyles and behavioral and health skills is low;the literacy rate of chronic diseases and infectious disease prevention needs to be improved.(3)The level of health literacy of residents with different characteristics of the population is different.Gender,age,marital status,education level,occupation,family size,annual family income and area all have different degrees of impact on health literacy.Targeted strategies and measures should be adopted for key populations in health education.
